A: This vacuum and the anti hair tangling brushroll has worked amazingly for our home! I was a skeptic as I have long curly hair and we also have a Great Pyrenees, but I haven’t had to clean the brush roll once yet and have been using it 1-2x times a week for over two months. Every other vacuum I’ve used I’ve had to clean the clogged brush roll every other use.

Great suction, brush roll and a scent option.
LOVE THE Shark Vacuums, have had many for a cleaning business, I love the no tangle brush ! The only drawback is this stiff cord. its very had to curl due to non flexible cord.

Best vacuum!
This is the BEST vacuum I’ve ever owned. We have two cats, so a lot of shedding. I THOUGHT my old vacuum was doing a decent job but apparently not! I love the automatic rug/flooring/dirt detection system; it really works to sense the type of flooring as well as how much suction is needed to get the floor or rug really clean. It’s a bit heavy but I don’t mind that if it’s doing this great of a job. The attachments work well on furniture too! We have all different rug piles in our house, one of which is a shag rug that has NEVER been able to get completely clean until now. It sucked up hair and dirt that I’m sure was deep down. So happy we made this purchase.

Disappointed
Nice vacuum, however the cord is its downfall. So sad. It’s super short and super stiff. Hard to work with. The most expensive vacuum you offer. Disappointed.

I'm all in on my Shark cleaning tools!
OMG! This is my favorite vacuum ever! My last couple of vacuums were Dysons and this Shark is out performing those! I love everything about this vacuum. We have 2 border collies in this house and that's a lot of dog hair that's floating around. This vacuum cleans the rugs better than anything we previously used! We could not be happier. I also purchased a Shark Steam cleaner for the hardwoods and tile in the house and that is my new obsession! THANK YOU SHARK!

A Disappointment!
This is my 4th shark over the past 20 years, and the worst one yet. The button are located in a spot that I always end up hitting. I have dogs and cats, it seems to get jammed/plugged up easily. It's transition from carpet to hard floors, is poor. It's bulky, takes more effort to maneuver, and doesn't go under furniture. I have gone back to my old one shark navigator with the hardwood attachment. With the price, I expected a lot more. Sadly, because this vacuum was failure for me, I ended up jumped off Shark ship and bought my first cordless from Dyson.

Older Sharks are Better
I have had my vacuum for almost 6 months and have really tried hard to like but I don't, I have been a shark vacuum for 20 years and this is my 4th vacuum. By far, the worst. It's bulky, does not transition well from carpets to hard floors. Now, I just go back to my old Shark lift away pro complete. At this price point, I expected better.

Dont risk it
I want to love this vacuum for the price that it is but unfortunately it no longer works after less than 4 months. This seems to be not an uncommon issue.

Disappointed
Upgraded to this vacuum from a shark navigator professional. Works really well on carpet and on Open spaces of hardwood floor but is very difficult to navigate in between items because the vacuum head is so large. Was hoping that they had an additional attachment for hardwood floors like the navigator had but no such luck

Not my favorite shark
I am a loyal shark customer. We buy a new vacuum every 3-5 years and I will only buy shark. I love so many features that shark provides. This vacuum however, I hate it! The touch button placement on the handle is terrible placement. I'm constantly touching them while vacuuming (especially while using the wand) and it changes the settings so I have to keep stopping to change the setting back. The wand also has a rubber type coating on the bottom. It might work OK for carpeted areas, but not on tile or hard wood. It causes the wand to stick to the floor, making it difficult to slide under furniture or across the baseboard areas. The hose for the wand is also stiff and difficult to move compared to all other shark models I've owned. Also making it difficult to slide under furniture, vacuum any furniture and to get to higher or harder to reach areas. I'm glad this wasn't my first shark vacuum because I wouldn't be a returning customer had I been. I still love Shark, but this model is a big👎.

I've had this vacuum for 5 months and, I have to say, it's my least favorite vacuum I've purchased from Shark. As other people have noted, the buttons you use to switch between the type of floor/surface you are vacuuming are in a terrible place, and i constantly hit them accidentally... changing to less suction when I want more, and vice versa. I also feel the design of the wand is poor, and makes it hard to maneuver underneath furniture. For the price I paid, I definitely feel this vacuum under performs

Not thrilled
Had this roughly 2 months they head already burned up. This seems to be a common occurrence with shark products. I have yet to have a vacuum from shark that has lasted more than a couple of months.

Shocking How Much Dirt it Picks Up
The best upright i have ever had due to powerful motor which pulls dust, dirt anc let hair up into bin. Uses cyclonic type lower like Dyson but much more powerful than Dyson. I have owned Dyson several times. Particularly great on thick carpet and has smaller roller in head to pick up on hard floors. Shocking to see how much it picks up. In detect cycle it tells you when carpet is clean. Must read manual and watch a few videos Shark sends you to get most out of product.

Not for thick carpet
This vacuum has lots of great attachments, seems well made, easy to assemble and has great suction. HOWEVER, oing forward on thick carpet is fine, it's very self-propelled, but when you try to pull the vacuum back towards you it feels like it weighs 400 lb. It's not the weight, it's the spinning beater bar and the suction that makes it incredibly difficult to use on thick carpet. Had I known that, had I tested it in advance on thick carpet, I would not have bought it. If I were only using it on very thin Berber carpet or more like thin commercial carpet, probably.

Product quality.
My third Powerdetect, two are replacement units. Wires are very stiff and kink and break. replacement took 2 weeks to receive. Vacuum is quite heavy but does work well.

I had this vacuum for four months. The gears are grinding when I pull backwards on it after spending 45 minutes on the phone with them to detect troubles, which I knew I wouldn’t be able to but I did what they asked, also the upholstery tool where you connected to the hose on the toilet itself. It’s all cracking after using a few times I’d say maybe 10 and they want me to pay to ship it back. I don’t think so. I’ll return it to the store and find a different product to buy. It does suck good yet I guess that is a plus

Don’t buy!
Wish I would have read the reviews before I purchased. I loved my old shark vacuum, it lasted 10 years! This one is super heavy. It over suctions and I can’t use it on my large rugs. It sucks them up and stops working. After one full house vacuum, it already appears clogged towards the top of the unit but I don’t even know how I’d get that out. Doesn’t appear to be reachable. All the parts were mailed separately in 6 boxes! Not sure how I’d even attempt to return. I feel like I threw my money away. DON’T BUY THIS VACUUM!!

Power Swich broke after 8 months
I havent even had it a year and the power switch is broken. Vacuum goes on at plug in and wont turn off anymore with switch. Has great power and suction and cleans dirt out of rugs you didnt know was there deep down, so I gave it 2☆. Switch failure prompted me to give this a poor rating

Horrible for German Shepherd owners
I bought this thinking it would easily pick up my German Shepherds hair. It does that easily but my biggest issue is the roller gets clogged easily and the roller bar in the front gets tangled full of hair!!! Also the buttons on the handle ate touch sensitive and ate constantly changing and the vacuum is so heavy! This vacuum is the biggest waste of money! I hate I wasted all that money on this. I've had it about 3 months or so. Plenty of time to test it out.
