Q: Hi. I bought this vacuum couple months ago. It works super well on hardwood floor but on carpet, it is EXTREMELY difficult to move and push even with level 2 Brushroll. Is there something wrong? Help!

submitted byTateyana - 3 years agoA: I would say there is something wrong with yours. We have had ours for 2 years and it is the easiest vacuum I’ve owned so far. I’ve never had an issue with this vacuum and I actually traded my Kirby in for this one. There is little to no resistance using this on the carpet with the brush roll on. LOVE this vacuum.
submitted byJessi897 - 6 years agoA: Ilove mine, Recently I accidentally sucked up gum balls and luckily this vacuum has a cup things like that go into and I flipped open thetop door and took them out and finished my floors. Good luck.

A: It comes with 2 attachments but useless on the hand held, attachments are supposed to be held on by "friction" but fall off. Impossible to do steps. Not including a brush attachement-disappointing

A: We would like to let you know that the HEPA filter can be washed with water only. It is recommended to wash the HEPA filter once a year and to tap the dust off regularly in between.

Pros: The suction is POWERFUL on this vacuum. Dirt stands no chance with this vacuum. It’s lightweight and easy to move. Cons: It tips over easily no matter what you’re doing. The hose is very rigid. There is not much stretch in order to reach high areas. My ceilings are 9ft. I don’t expect many to reach that high without an extension though. The suction is VERY strong. It’s sometimes difficult to move due to this. The latch to disconnect the extension is difficult to reach for me. I have limited use of one hand so it’s a trick to press the release AND pull it up. The attachments tend to fall off the caddy. The flat “brush” attachment is useless. I use it for steps and the brush portion leaves a 1/2” edge uncleaned. Overall, this is a good vacuum for the price.

This is my second Shark Navigator, the first one 7+ years old. My only complaint is they shortened the cord, not a deal breaker, just more an inconvenience. Living in a dusty region (AZ) and having a dog that sheds, I wash the canister and foam filter monthly. The old one still works, but I notice more suction with the new one. Good product for the $$.

This is our favorite vacuum ever! It’s lightweight but super powerful. Also, the base is fairly narrow so you can vacuum between furniture without moving everything each time. It is a basic, simple design, which we love (not a bunch of settings that have to be changed constantly.) Our last Shark was a very similar model and lasted around 15 years.

Pros — so light & powerful! Makes you want to vacuum from top to bottom! Pretty good job with dog hair. Cons — when using the attachment functions with the too-short arm, you will be continuously clobbered by the vacuum. I.e., it’s so light that any time you reach with the attachment, your vacuum will topple onto you or the floor. It’s possible this is user error? But I vacuumed the whole house & couldn’t figure out how to keep it upright while using the attachments. Also, the refuse container has limited capacity — e.g., you cannot vacuum a larger wool rug without having to empty the canister at least 1-2 times.

This is the best vacuum i’ve ever used. I’ve used a dyson stick vacuum and its power was nothing compared to this!!! The suction on this vacuum is unbelievable. It really simple to use and to clean out. I’ve had this for about three months now and had no issues. This is definitely a life long machine!

I trusted Target and placed an order for a vaccum cleaner on Blackfriday. I got my box which was broken and also it looks like it was opened. The box was without any seal, looks like Target sent me a product which someone returned it. Now the deal on the vaccum cleaner is gone from all the companies and I will end of returning this. Waste of my time, money and energy. Never again Target, you guys are taking company to drain. Back in the days, people use to love Target. Don't trust this guys anymore.

The main vacuum part is fine, the Attachments are horrible. They come off easily and make it really hard to vacuum anything that isn’t the carpet (like the couch or stairs). Shark REALLY needs to redesign this model
