A: The Navigator robot cannot detect objects below 4 inches in height or reflective or dark surfaces. The unit will rotate while it is cleaning; it may create a blind spot and could bump into an object such as a chair leg, baseboards, or furniture. We recommend ensuring that all the protective film has been removed from the robot bumper and the top of the robot.

A: Your robot's cliff sensors will prevent it from falling off ledges. For the cliff sensors to work properly in any mode, all runners, rugs, or carpets must be at least 8 inches from any stairs or steps. Creating a no-go zone with the app will help establish parameters for your robot. To keep your robot performing optimally, clean the sensors regularly.

The app seems responsive and the vacuum isn’t too loud. Not sure about battery life yet but it’s okay because it usually will clean the whole floor before returning to the dock.

Once it does the mapping of your house it’s ready to go. It’s super thorough and goes everywhere. It even goes over high ledges to a different room. I have a super thick rug in the bathroom and it even went over that. It is a little loud but not awful. It picked up all the dust and things that was on the ground.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My favorite vacuum I ever had was the shark lift away. I always had good luck with the brand , so I was excited about this. Needed a new one as the one I had from a previous brand stopped working. This is lightweight, which I love, so picking it up or carrying it is a breeze. Set up is quick and easy via the app. The charging dock isn't big and bulky. It has 3 levels of cleaning. Maps itself out quickly and is easy to empty. It doesn't have any issues moving room to room even if there is a small incline or change in flooring material. My only one area of improvement would be is that I have 2 levels in my home. You can't add mapping for 2 floors. If you want to take it to a different floor , you have to unplug it and start the whole mapping process all over again on that floor. Your previous floor settings won't be saved. Kinda of a pain , I would think there would have been an easy fix for this. Overall, though, I really like it , and it makes the chore of vacuuming easier and gets under beds and tables, etc, with a breeze.

With 4 cats in the house, it picks up the fur we cannot see. It was a little difficult to empty the bin at first, but once we figured it out, it has been simple. I will say that I do wish it was a little quieter. We run it at night and the battery works great at this point.

Really 4.5 - almost perfect. Seems to clean much better than our previous robo vac. We like that it cleans in an organized way. And it seems to pick up more, working quite well on carpets. One drawback is that it doesn't come with a remote to target cleaning which our other had. Also will not go under low items which our other did, because it's about an inch taller. But overall happy with this robo vacuum.

I have a shaggy rug that my regular vacuum cleaner doesn't do well with, but it's not a problem for the Shark! Just turn it on (using the easy to use app) and let it do its work! I can even start it up from work using the app! Does a great job sweeping my hardwood floors as well!

Loathe this vacuum and returned it within 24 hours of purchase. Dust “bin” is a sick joke it’s so tiny, about 1/2” tall x3”x3”, not exaggerating, and it has NO containment! It’s an open slot that has no hinge or accessibility. The “bin” slides into the same part of the vacuum that makes contact with the charge base so when it docks you can’t empty the bin without sabotaging the mid-clean recharge. It gets full instantly and you have to remove it with the vacuum overtop a trash bin since debris falls out of the slot onto the floor and inside the machine and requires prying the compacted lint and dirt out with a small object, I used a chopstick. It’s first 100% battery charge took an hour for it to get 512sqft before it hit 12% battery life and returned to base. Have never been so disappointed in a product and the misleading reviews. DO NOT BUY.

It does exactly what I need it to do, and I'm very pleased with the results. The app is easy to use, and I was able to set a cleaning schedule and create "no-go zones" after the vacuum did an initial scan of the room. While the mapping could be better—it had some trouble identifying our dining table and chairs—I anticipated this, so it's not a dealbreaker. It's about as loud as a normal vacuum, and overall, I would highly recommend it.

I have had other brands and the suction level on the Shark is far superior to the others (I've tried Eufy and Roomba). The battery life is exceptional. I will admit, I found the mapping set up to be a little more difficult than my former Roomba, but getting it "close" to right is worth the exceptional cleaning level. The Matrix is more quiet than the other robots as well. Run, don't walk to get this or another Shark Robot Vacuum!

The SmartPath navigation is accurate, and I barely have to empty it mid-clean. Battery life is decent for medium spaces, and the noise level is low enough to run while I’m home. Maintenance is super easy thanks to the self-cleaning brushroll.

The floor mapping is super smart, and being able to control it from the app makes everything so easy. I can just send it to a specific room while I’m doing other stuff. It picks up way more dust and hair than I expected too. If you’re thinking about getting one, I totally recommend this one!
