Q: Does the wifi network (that is connected to the Shark Matrix AV2310AE and iPhone Shark app) have to provide a connection to the internet?

A: The internet isn't required to run the device. When you get ine, you can unbox it, plug it in until fully charged, then press "clean", and it will! All without having connected to the internet.

A: The unit will not detect pet hair balls or puke. If the unit sucks the puke it will cause a damage and the warranty will not be valid.

A: A typical cleaning cycle for this robot lasts about an hour. It also has a feature called recharge and resume. This means it will clean, return to the dock, recharge, and then resume where it left off and continue cleaning.

It works great for a house with pets. I can put up to work daily and helps me saving time. However, it can't clean the living room and kitchen in one time. The battery lasts around maybe 50 mins and needs to recharg which is not enough to clean even one room. I do like that it is self empty which helps a lot as a pet mom.

This is our 3rd robot and the second with the laser on top, I think I like this one better but have only run it a few times since the holidays due to company. It only has one brush but that one brush includes 3 different sets of brushes in the front verses one one each side. I have other Shark items and love thgem.

PHENOMINAL as always!!!!! I am a loyal Shark believer, from my first purchase the floor steamer, then vacuums. Now this Matrix is key to keeping our house clean DAILY. I am picky because I am an interior designer so my home is always kept perfectly neat; but that's also why my homes sell in 24 hours. This vacuum cleaner does the work and gives me peace of mind. BTW I have 8 cats and 12 dogs.........yes inside.
Cleaner house means better breathable air.

I have been using this Shark Robo Vacuum for two months and just love it! It has been a life saver for our household. My husband has several back issues and he is not able to push a vacuum cleaner. I also do not like to run the vacuum cleaner and it was getting neglected. This was our life saver. Love the job it does. This vacuum cleaner cleans in the smallest clearance spaces. It cleans under our king size bed that is carpeted. Our furniture sits high enough for the vacuum to clean under couch and chairs. It cleans under guest bed which is also on carpet. The rugs feel so much better. We are really thankful that we gave it a try because we couldn’t be happier!

Do you want this vacuum to actually self empy? Better not have anything on the floor bigger than a strand of hair or it will absolutely get stuck emptying. Also it is only minimally able to navigate countertops and other obstacles while still cleaning.

I am aggravated, I thought I could program it for what day and what time I wanted it to run like my old ones can with a remote. This one does not have that feature so each day I need to remember when and a courteous time because I live in a condo.

It only will clean once a day. You can't have multiple so don't buy if you have animals. Doesn't work well for hardwood floors. Low suction and brush throws the debris.

I was already looking for a replacement for my old robot vacuum since it wasn’t vacuuming anymore and was very skeptical since this vacuum only has 1 brush but it does it job pretty good, you can definitely see the difference in the morning after it’s done cleaning, I totally recommend getting one like this!

This is my fourth shark unit I have a large house and now have at least one unit on each floor. Shark is typically very responsive to any questions. I highly recommend their products. I have three dogs so I also have numerous small portable shark vacuums. Great products.

I’ve had the robot vac for a few years now. I like it at lot. We just bought a self-emptying model as a gift. What I don’t like is the app, it loses the schedule and/or mapping at least once a year. The stop or start app buttons are unreliable. If the robot has an issue I get an alert, why doesn’t it tell me where it is? All the gos tech going to waste. Why? Why? Why?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband named this robot vacuum Mr. Shark, but it really should be Mr. Rosie from the Jetsons. I am in LOVE with this robot. It fits nicely under our foyer table. It’s taller than the Roomba so it never gets stuck under our couch. It has an obstacle detector, so it goes around. I haven’t seen if it’ll go around accidentally dog droppings yet. We mapped the house, so the robot can go directly to a room and clean it. My husband loves that it makes clean lines in every room. It had a quiet mode so you can actually talk while it’s running. At the end, it sucks up into the holder for you to clean up after several runs. I really really like this vacuum. Thank you, Mr. Shark!!!!
