Setup was miserable, but cleaning seems great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I quickly was egar to get my new robo vacuum up and running, setup was very complicated to figure out what unit this was, finally found a barcode to scan. The unit seems to lack engaging with the charging port. Makes it easy to fall off and not charge properly. Love the rubber cleaning brush and side brush. Seems to get tight spots but strugglea to get under low furniture. I have 2 children and a dog. As soon in the images, I sprinkled crackers to show after 5 passes it finally got most of the crackers up. Seems to pickup dog hair well too, especially long hairs.

Low maintenance with smart navigation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like that this Roomba keeps things simple while offering large waste bin for a busy house. It can hold debris for up to 60 days without needing to be emptied. The robot itself is not large or obtrusive so compact enough for most spaces while still doing heavy duty cleaning when needed. The updated navigation should make mapping more precise - It did seem to get smarter over time as well. I’ve had it running for about 1.5 hours before it needed a charge and it picked up where it left off after getting some energy/ and generally I only run it for an hour max. I love it for everyday use. It is not quiet but still much less than an upright vac and none of the work. I think this is a good fit for someone who wants reliable vacuuming less maintenance and sleeker setup. For me worth the cost.

The first week or two having this was great! I no longer had to worry about dog hair dust bunnies around my house. However after a week and a half, I had an automation to only clean certain areas and it continued to go into the no clean areas. So to fix the issue I stopped all of my automations and would just tell it to clean certain areas and that worked for awhile. Then one day I sent it to go clean an area and it couldn't find home, the Roomba genuinely got lost when the home dock a wasn't even a foot away from it! cleaned all the sensors tried resetting it and nothing worked. thankd it was within the return window and I got my money back!

Setup was confusing, but now works great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My home is three levels, so I was excited to be able to try a robot vacuum that could cover one of the levels for me. This Roomba 205 can actually map out multiple floors and be moved around to cover each level! The setup of the vacuum was a little frustrating because I couldn’t get the mapping feature to start. I think the issue was that the vacuum needed to charge fully before it could do the mapping. It decided to start mapping on its own late at night once it was charged. Now that it has completed its mapping and I have the app set up, it’s so nice to be able to send it out to clean while we are not home. I can even have the vacuum spot clean under the dinner table after each meal, which is a huge win! I also love that the home base for this vacuum tucks under a side table and is out of the way. Hoping there are no other complications that arise from the vacuum.

It's tall enough that it cannot get under/get stuck under the couch yet fits perfectly under the kitchen cabinets where crumbs often collect and are hard to clean up. Dust compactor!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really nice vacuum, great size doesn’t take up too much space, it has a navigation map to help avoid objects and obstacles. It has a compactor that crushes all the dirt and debris so that I don’t have to empty it every week! Super plus! So convenient and I love how it’s been preforming. It has good suction and isn’t too loud. And the battery lasts my entire house. I turn it on at bedtime and my house is all clean for the morning!

Effective but loud

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really looking for something that would save me time cleaning the hardwood floors in the home, so I was excited to try out a robot vacuum. The setup was easy as it didn't take much assembly from the pictures on the box. There was one piece that looked like an air filter that I couldn't figure out to install. When the Roomba was altogether, I realized how big it was and I was concerned about it navigating small areas in our narrow home. I ended up moving a few things out of the hallway to set up the base and so I could test it out. Once I placed the Roomba on the base, and downloaded the app to finish setting up, it was charging fine and was able to create a map in under 30 minutes. I used the Spot Clean mode once the app was set up. It was effective in picking up dust along the baseboards and in the middle of the floor especially with the edge detailer. The voice prompts are loud and the vacuum itself is loud. I can see this being a problem when I'm trying to relax after a long day. Overall, the product works very well but a little too noisy for my liking.

The older ones were already great, but this iRobot Roomba 205 DustCompactor is a really nice upgrade.One of my favorite features is the mapping. You set up your space once, and after that it knows exactly where to clean, which makes everything so much easier. With kids and dogs at home, there's always something on the floor, and this helps me keep everything clean without having to think about it too much. It's reliable, easy to use, and just makes daily life a lot easier. I definitely recommend it.

Love this little vacuum!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been wanting to get one of these so was perfect timing! The vacuum is easy to set up and easy to connect to wifi. It has a great suction and picks almost everything up plus is fairly quiet. You can use this on hardwood floors, tile flooring, and carpeting. It's very good at recognizing if something is in it's way. All and all I'm extremely happy with this product and was a great edition to my household.

Needs to be monitored

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a cat owner with disabilities it's hard to keep my floor from being crunchy with kitty litter. It's gross and I seem to never ve able to do a good job. However, this roomba has made it so much better. I like the deep clean function. My floors feel so much cleaner. You do need to make sure everything is picked up first that could get in the way or get stuck. It will find anything thats been hidden under furniture. The side brush has fallen off a few times. And it did sweep kitty litter into my slipper. Also I left my door open once and it wandered into my parents room and got lost. My cat isn't scared of it and will follow it around. I have to monitor the app because if it finds a missing sock or a cat toy it will stop until I come fix it. The app makes it easy to see what it going on or if it needs help. It's really easy to get what is stuck out of the brush. I always wanted a Roomba thinking it would benefit me and looks like i was right.

Easy to setup + Very smart robot vac

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the iRobot Roomba 205 Dust Compactor Robot Vacuum for free from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. This robot vacuum is super easy to setup and connect to Wi-Fi. The app makes it very simple to map the rooms in your home. The vacuum itself is fairly quiet and seems to have good suction. Also, maintenence is a breeze as it is very easy to empty the bin after cleaning. The vacuum is a decent size and the wheels move well along the floor. If there is anything in the way, the robot vacuum is very good at recognizing that and will head to a different area. We just bought a much bigger house and this robot vacuum will definitely help with keeping it clean! I would definitely recommend the iRobot Roomba 205 to others!

Bring back the older styles

What happened to the older style Roomba’s?!?! It’s hard to connect to the charger and half the time it moves around without sucking anything up and then will stop out of no where!! Im probably returning this one too! I really need one but i need it to actually work!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice little workhorse robot vacuum. It is a decent size and I like that the home base for it is quite small. It’s crazy to me that there is lidar in a vacuum, but here we are! The app is fairly user-friendly and you can create zones for where you want it to clean and where you don’t want it to go. I like that you can adjust the power of the suction too. Overall, this is a really good robot vacuum.

A Pet Owner must have!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had several iRobot vacuums over the years. Honestly, as soon as these came on the scene- I bought one. That robot was still running 15 years later when I gave it to a friend when I upgraded! This specific Roomba 205 compacts the dirt inside the robot with no emptying for 60 days!! But of course, I will never make it to 60 days without emptying it!! It has a super small docking station which definitely saves space, but what I really love is that it’s bagless and you can empty the bin straight into the trash! So no extra money spent on bags to use this model!! The Roomba 205 cleaning capabilities are effective and it handles carpets and pet hair well! I have several inside cats, one of which has long, very poofy hair and this roomba has been a life saver! It mapped our home quickly and navigates really well around furniture, obstacles (and cats!) It ramps up and down quickly when getting onto and off of carpet. The robot and the accompanying App are both very user friendly! The App allows you to create schedules to clean your home all at once or you can choose to only clean certain areas and not others. This function really comes in handy when you’re home watching tv and still want it to vacuum the rest of the house!! My favorite thing about this 205 model though is that when it bumps your furniture and walls it does it much softer than the other models I’ve owned. I am definitely digging our new Roomba!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a Dreame E30 Ultra and Rooma j8+. I was excited about this vacuum model because it internally compacts and doesn’t have a large base. Large bases can take up a lot of space and be an eye sore. This model does a good job of picking up dirt and pet hair. I do not like how it makes a lot of clunking sounds when going across our hard floor against the grain. It also doesn’t seem to last as long on a charge as others. I think it is good for someone who doesn’t want a big base and has a smooth floor. The app is also easy to use, which is great.

Compact to clean under bookshelves

It seems to have great suction. I have found it so useful as I have young children and find myself sweeping the floor daily. For some reason I thought this had a mop function but it does not. I’ve had other brands of robot vacuums in the past and none of them come even remotely close to this one in every category. It maps out your house to avoid running into furniture or getting stuck. It also has a special compacting feature, which means it does not need to be emptied as frequently. With a long-haired cat that sheds like crazy, that is a huge win! The app is easy to use, and so convenient for cleaning while you aren’t home. Highly recommend!
