Q: Do any vacuums have lights?

A: Thanks for your question, Donna! Some BISSELL vacuums do have headlights to help illuminate cleaning paths, especially on hard floors or under furniture. However, the CleanView Max Lift-Off Vacuum Cleaner does not appear to include built-in lights. The MultiClean Allergen Pet Rewind Upright Vacuum (model 3409) features LED headlights to help you spot dirt and pet hair in hard-to-see areas. Hope this helps!

The only positive is above average suctioning. Just about everything else is awful. It's clunky and heavy and extremely difficult to push on plush carpet. It constantly returns to the upright position in the middle of vacuuming, the slightest move causes that. As a result, I'm constantly having to stop and press down with my foot to lower it. I especially wanted to vacuum the staircase between my first and second floors. Every time I lifted the vacuum cleaner from one step to the next, it went into the upright position and I had to depress it with my foot again. That just about tripled the amount of time it took to vacuum the staircase. The brush attachment is way too short. I wanted to vacuum some mini-blinds that are a magnet for dust. The brush attachment reaches only the very bottom of the blinds. Does Bissell expect customers to lift this heavy, clunky vacuum cleaner above their heads with one arm and vacuum with their other? I really tried to give this vacuum cleaner a chance, in part because repacking it into the box to return it would be a pain. But the design is so poor I expect to return it. Bissell, what were you thinking when you designed this vacuum cleaner?

Very Heavy & Hard to Push on Plush Carpet

This vacuum has very good suction right out of the box. But it's quite heavy and difficult to push especially on plush carpet. I had to push it with two hands and put my back into it. One room was all I could do at a time before needing a break. Haven't tried the wand yet. I'm still recovering.

I don’t ever leave a review but I dislike this vacuum so much I wanted to give my opinion. Way too cheap awkward and clunky for the price. The suction is the only thing that seems decent. I never knew that cord placement would bother me but I’m right handed and it being on the right is always in my way. Having to move the handle to my left hand constantly to move the cord with my right over and over is driving me nuts. I just can’t stand it! So there you have it.

This is possibly the WORST vacuum in the entire history of vacuums. I couldn’t even finish vacuuming my mattress because it simply wouldn’t pull up even a tiny bit of baking soda. To boot, a small amount of hair in the upholstery cleaner was all it took to keep it from spinning. The hose is so tight that if you want to use a wand attachment you have to hold the vacuum base handle or keep it so close to your body that it’s touching you because it will immediately tip over. I hate this vacuum so much that I’m not even going to bother returning it—I’m just going to toss it into the trash & eat the $$. Utterly HORRIBLE.

We have four kids and four cats in our home, so there is always so much dirt and hair to clean up. The CleanView® Max Lift-Off cleaned it all. It has amazing suction (my husband exclaimed “this vacuum really sucks” after using it on the rug in his office) and it easily cleaned up all of the cat litter a rug under our litter box. It has settings for plush carpet and low carpet/bare floor. Both worked very well on our carpets, rugs, doormats, and hardwood floors. The 2-in-1 Dusting Brush and Crevice Tool was perfect for getting under furniture and into corners to capture dust bunnies. One of my favorite features was that the Lift-Off Pod could detach from the foot and be easily carried around. This made vacuuming above my head so much easier to manage. Without the foot, it was light enough for our 8 year old to hold it while she vacuumed the stairs. This vacuum was very thoughtfully designed and will get regular use in our home.

I can vacuum our entire upstairs before emptying. It did a great job on a room I am remodeling. I had vacuumed it with a different device, but when running the CleanView Max Lift Off back over it, it picked up dust and debris the other missed. It did a superb job on our downstairs vinyl flooring. The attachments shine on our carpeted stairs and for the baseboards. My only con is wanting the corrugated hose to be better integrated with the handle. It comes out from the canister then runs up the handle. There is a clip, but it is still a bit loose. I am impressed with its first usage throughout our home. I would recommend it to friends and family.

It’s definitely smaller than my current upright vacuum, and as I have a smaller home and am tighter on storage, this is a win. I did have to assemble the vacuum, but it was super easy and took probably 5 minutes max. I also really liked how the detail/crevice tool was a 2 in 1 piece, instead of having to keep track of two separate pieces. Overall, I felt that it had a rather sleek body for a full upright vacuum. After assembling and starting to try out for the first time, I appreciated the slider where you can adjust for what type of carpet or hard flooring you’re cleaning - our house is 50/50 carpet and hard flooring. As for actual performance - I tried it out first on carpet. Carpet that had just been vacuumed the day before. I did one small area and was shocked at how much dirt and dust was pulled! I also did a quick run on the hard floor in our hallway, and bits of dust and dirt were also cleaned quite well. However, I think my favorite feature was how the body of the vacuum lifted off the base for detail cleaning (using the hose). It’s so much easier to use when cleaning than dragging around a whole vacuum. Overall, I was extremely impressed with this vacuum and excited to replace my old model with a much more functional piece!

We have 3 cats, 1 dog and 1 toddler, and it picks up after them very well (hair, dirt, crumbs, etc). We have carpet and tile floors, and the suction works great on both types of flooring. It has not clogged up and is easy to empty and clean. The “lift off” feature is my favorite part of this vacuum, allowing me to more efficiently vacuum the stairs without having to lug a heavy vacuum up each step. I hated vacuuming my stairs but this makes it so much easier. I have only used this vacuum for a couple weeks, so I’m not sure about its overall durability and lifespan. However, based on how it is performing so far, I would definitely recommend this vacuum!

The appeal of having something that's dual use between corded standard vacuum and portable for the stairs is what was most useful. However, my unit did not work out of the box. None of the troubleshooting helped. The roller for main component wouldn't spin. It's a pass for me.

I have two dogs and a baby, things get messy quick here. So I used the CleanView® Max Lift-Off on a few different rugs/carpet in my house for basic upkeep in the house. It did a great job on the carpet, got up all the dog fur and dirt. Fantastic suction, relatively easy to maneuver. My only complaints would be that it's just a little heavy and chunky. I used the slim nose attachment to get the corners of my carpet and wall. It did a great job. I also tried the vacuum on 2 different area rugs. I was a little less impressed on these, mostly because the suction was almost too good? It made it hard to keep the area rug down, the vacuum kept sucking up the edges. Overall I would recommend this vacuum for sure.

I am not a big fan of vacuuming whatsoever, so much so I make my kids do it. This vacuum has really changed my whole perception on cleaning. When it arrived, my kids were so excited, which I get it's strange but again they're the ones vacuuming. My oldest son, 15, was the one who assembled the vaccum and he did it quite quickly. There are very detailed instructions included, however, my son didn't glance at them once and he had the vacuum assembled in about 10 minutes, I was quite impressed. This Bissel2 Vacuum comes with 2 attachments, Crevice Tool and a Multi Tool and also an Odor Neutralizier Technology Dial. This vaccum is so quite and the suction power is intense. My ferrets knocked over one of my indoor plants and got dirt everywhere and the crevice tool did an amazing job at sucking up all the dirt quickly. I really like how with this vacuum you can detachthe canister, which is very convenientwhen try to get in small places. It helps significantlybecauseit becomes even more lightweight. On the wand it self you can adjust the amount of suction power as well, which is really convenient for vacuuming rugs so they don't get sucked up into the vacuum. The first time we used this vacuum, I couldn't believe dirt and dust that was picked up still in my carpet from when it was previously vacuumed with my other vacuum, it was shocking. This vacuum is so powerful, it picks up everything from cat litter to dry macaroni noodles, even microscopic dirt I didn't even know was there and not to mention my carpet is so soft to the touch now, it's quite incredible. I really do love this vacuum and my kids are constantly fighting over who get to use it, it's so funny. The Bissell company has really changed my mind on this whole vacuuming thing, it was just my old one I hated. Overall, this is the most powerful vacuum I have come across and I would definitely recommend it, thank you so much!

I immediately used it on my area rug that was covered in hair & seamlessly switched to hard wood, zero problems. I was shocked to see what the previous vacuum had missed including all the hair it seemed to find & didn’t get stuck around the brush roll. It even tackled cleaning my furniture upholstery with the attachment. My favorite is the suction power, it basically self propels. I can even vacuum with my kid in the room now thanks to the HEPA filter. My only complaint is there isn’t a light on the front, that would be a phenomenal addition. I was able to clean 4 rooms & a hallway all with carpet & hardwood before having to empty the XL dust tank. It’s super convenient using the lift off feature to clean ceilings, corners, light fixtures, etc. Again, I’m shocked at the extreme power this vacuum brings!
