Q: how well does this work with cat litter?

A: We bought a small hand held one, that was cheap. We just left it charging, lasted a long time, not gross inside, but it cleaned easily with a Clorox wipe. We only used it for cat litter.

While it has strong suction and cyclonic action, it may not be ideal for high or deep pile carpets, as the brush roll and overall design aren’t optimized for penetrating thick fibers. Just bought this vacuum cleaner as I was unboxing it the dirt container was not going in the vacuum tightly or properly and the seal was not working right I called target customer service and they said I can exchange it for another one. I hope this one works, but I would stay away from these because a lot of them have problems.

I love Bissell uprights, had them for decades. This one? Suction is great, however, unadjustable height, roller brush keep rotating even when upright, my wheel kept falling off, and the scoop on the bottom came off. Perhaps the delivery (I had it delivered instead of riding the bus to purchase it) , was rough, the assemblers that day were tired, the specs are off, whatever, but no way on any modern engineering of an up right vacuum should the roller brush continue to rotate, period. I'm very disappointed, and if it weren't for all the wrong with this particular individual vacuum, I'd rate it higher i cannot. I will continue to purchase Bissell, but one more catastrophe like this individual vacuum or poor engineering decision like continuous rotating roller brush,- I will need to say farewell to my splendid Bissell company.

Vacuum does not seal and daughter ended up in a dust cloud on first use. Handle attachment is weak and hose cord is super short. Definitely child size. Not sure how I will repurpose this right now. Disappointed.

I will preface I am going from a Dyson to an upright, corded vacuum. I had my Dyson for 8 years, but it stopped working and needed a new vacuum until I could figure out if I’d be getting another Dyson. So far, I am loving it. I will say it is difficult going from the ease of cordless back to corded, but my Dyson never got as much dirt out of a carpet like this. Though yes it is annoying carrying around a cord like Mrs. Doubtfire, it sucked out so much from my brand new carpet. Highly recommend if you don’t mind corded!

I just used this compact vacuum to clean the living room and it sucked up a lot of dirt and dog hair. I bought it to replace the Shark vacuum which seems to just push the debris around since it doesn’t have a brush, but a plastic fin (see comparison in photos). It’s so much lighter and sucks up really great. It may not hold as much as the other vacuum, but the canister is easy to empty and head is just as wide. The cord seems longer too. I haven’t tried the detachable hose, but I see it is shorter than the Shark. For the price, it’s a great powerful and simple vacuum. I hope it lasts longer than Shark :)
