Not worth it - save up for a better quality brand
Save your money and don’t buy a Hoover. My Dyson lasted over 20 years. Bought this and it’s already in the trash after less than 10 uses. Don’t let that rewinding cord pull you in (pun intended), because it will work a few times and then be done. Everything is cheap plastic and using the hose is not nearly as convenient as a Dyson or Shark. It’s cheap because it’s cheaply made.

Works well with thick carpet
I have had one of these vacuums for 7 years. I have thick carpeting and I had to set my shark on a weaker suction and it didn’t seem to be cleaning the way I wanted. When I got this Hoover, I vacuumed the same area that I just vacuumed with the shark and filled the collection container. It has worked really well for me. It has kept the carpet in good shape. The trick is to find the best height setting and to move slowly backwards and forwards for the best cleaning and raising of the pile in the carpet. I like the fact that you don’t have to decrease the suction for a thick carpet, just raises the height.

Must have for anyone with dogs.
I liked my previous hoover so I bought this one when my dog ate the cord. This one is amazing at picking up dirt and pet hair. I have a golden retriever who has a double coat so I get a lot of hair on the floors. It picks the hair up better than my last one which I thought was good. I highly recommend this vacuum if you have pets.

Feels cheap
The vacuum has powerful suction, but feels cheap and stiff like it would break easily. Also ripped a hole in my carpet so I will be returning it.

Purchased my vacuum cleaner less than two months ago and it suddenly stopped working. Checked my electrical outlets and they’re all working. Anyone else have this problem?

Marginal satisfaction
I bought last week & am using for the first time. The brush attachment shown in the above photo was not included with mine. Vacuum has great suction. The long wand is difficult to use when vacuuming furniture or curtains. The cord rewind is a nice option, but it doesn’t rewind the full cord and you’re left with some hanging loose that you get stuck on when you’re trying to wheel it back to its storage place. It’s good for floors, but if you have pets, and you are constantly vacuuming your furniture and curtains, I would recommend something more flexible and easier to use.

This vacuum is awesome. It picked up so much dirt from my carpet that my other old vacuum did not. I love the vacuum cup where you can just dump the dirt directly into the trash and don’t need to spend needless money on vacuum bags. Rewind cord is the best! Definitely recommend this vacuum.

Forgot to add on previous review: DO NOT WAIT TILL the vacuum “change filter” turns red, indicating the need for replacing the bottom HEPA or top intake filters. The top filter (circular) needs to be rinsed regularly as directed. The red/green indicator NEVER turns red. Just check the HEPA regularly too. Again FANTASTIC suction power after years of use!

Ive had this model for several years and still suctions amazingly! Just replace both filters once (or twice if needed) a year. VERY happy customer!

Marvelous machine
Fabulous machine! Works better than that Kirby I bought 2 years ago…I have 5 dogs and 4 cats in and out all the time. And I live in the countryside, which doesn’t help with dust/dirt. When I use this machine you can tell I vacuumed, I may have to dump it after each room, but the carpets look good! And it’s easy to clean, which is a huge plus because I take it apart and clean the hose and dirt canister after each use.
