Hoses get clogged easily and have to clean it out every other vacuum. The detachable hose to suck up tight corners isn’t strong. Not many likes with this product. Have owned it for 2 years and now buying a different brand.

After a brief time with an hoover which was useless and a couple of bissels, I came back to dirt devil. Lots of good for not too much $$$. The hose reaches, the crevice tool with the extra brush head, long cord and ez to empty. All in all a great value.

Works good but hose issues
This vacuum works great but the hose isn't long enough to even vacuum a flat surface at waist level plus the hose has torn open on both ends at the plastic end cap. I've tried repairing it before and I'm currently trying again. Really wish I could find a replacement hose that isn't plastic at the base. The nubs that keep it in place once twisted into place have warn down and just a little tug causes it to POP out. It sucks. Those specific areas should be made with a sturdier material. Just my opinion. If this most recent fix doesn't work, then I'm not sure what I should do. Search for a replacement hose or shop around. Advice Dirt Devil? Thanks

Cord split and started sparking
Worst vaccum. Bought this in March and in May stops working. The cord split and wires started sparking. Customer service is currently to replace this one. Buy another vaccum

smells like burnt!!!
After 3 months of buying it smells like burnt everytime I vaccum I tried cleaning the filter but still smells and suction is not good. I am going to try to contact dirt devil online and see if there is a warranty. not cool.

Not worth the headache
Would not recommend. It stopped working after 4 uses. The suction was great but it started to smell like smoke and the brush stopped spinning. Support says to tell them and not take it in stores. It was a hassle to get ahold of someone on their website and went through FB they want me to peel the sticker and cut the cord after sending them a bunch of videos to prove it doesn’t work.

Great for the price
It does the job for a great price. The suction lacks a little and sometimes you have to go through the same part a few times before picking up. I bought it mostly for pet hair on the floors, so works for me. I didn't like th handle technique to lock it back in place when done. You have to tip it forward and with a little pressure before it locks and at times I feel it may break. If they can fix how it locks in place, it would be a better product because this is an inconvenience to me. Lastly, the hose is too short and stiff. It's hard to pull to places of reach without having to carry the entire vacuum. But overall, I gave it a 4 because it does the job I needed to do for a good price.

Basically junk after a few months
I took it apart to clean and realigned just how it should be now nothing will get back into place. The connections don't have a good seal. It's the worst vacuum. Haven't even had it 4 months and I'm throwing in the garbage. I have NEVER been this unhappy with a vacuum.

Stop working after a couple of months
Atop working after 4 months. The vacuum over heated/ blew out, stopped working but would turn on after awhile and only would work for several minutes. But suction power diminished and eventually no suction at all, just blowing air.

Terrible vacuum
I hate this vacuum does a terrible job cleaning floors and carpets the vacuum doesn’t clean and all the dust comes out of parts i wouldn’t recommend it.

The canister connections are not tight, so you end up with dust and dirt blowing out of the vacuum.
