I'd give more stars if I could... I was going back and forth between this (a more budget-friendly option) and one of the name brand vacuums that is $100+ but I just couldn't justify the more expensive one. I'm so glad I got this one! The cord is extra-long so you don't have to keep unplugging it, and the best thing is the suction! 100000% worth any penny. If you're torn about which vacuum to buy and have this as an option, choose this!!!

I would buy this product again!
Love that this Dirt Devil, its light weight and is able to vacuum carpeted steps while the beater brush is turning. My upright Shark & Dyson will not allow the brush to turn in the upright position. Dirt Devil allows the brush to turn in upright or vacuuming position. I also love the red hand grip while vacuuming steps! Absolutely my favorite vac for deep cleaning carpeted steps easily.

Looking to safe money? BUY A BROOM!
If I had known I was purchasing a leaf blower on wheels in hopes of saving money I would have just gotten a broom. This vacuum will make you seriously question your sanity as you roll back and forth over the same piece of fuzz that it doesn't have the capability to pick up. Just vacuumed my whole house in disbelief that I even kept going as I just blew hair and dust up into my lungs.

Heavy and awkward to use
I'm usually a fan of Dirt Devil products, and I'm not stranger to l"more affordable" products in general, as I live on a fixed income. I have to be honest and say that I was extremely disappointed and unhappy with this purchase. To begin, the "rewind" feature for the cord didn't work correctly, right out of the box. I had already used it so I wasn't going to attempt to return it, but I think all features should be in working condition on a brand new product that's just been removed from its manufacturer's packaging. Next, the hose attachment tubing is way to short, so you end up with a long, unbendable hose that barely gives any slack, so your arm tires quick when vacuuming high spots, because you're bearing most of the weight from the vacuum itself because it pulls it up when you reach above your head with it. If you remove the unbendable hose, the flex hose is MAYBE 2 feet long, so you can only use it on extremely small areas, on the ground, so long as it's inches away from the vacuum. And the vacuum is SO HEAVY! I have a hard time carrying it up 3 steps to my kitchen to vacuum the area rug. And the suction isn't anything to right home about either. It works, but sometimes I have to go over the same area multiple, multiple times. The cord also gets REALLY hot. So if you're considering this vacuum as an option, just be aware that you don't even get what you paid for with this party model. I suggest saving and spending a little bit more to get something better. Because Dirt Devil missed their mark on this one. I love the brand, but this model is awful.

I bought thisin May and by October the hose connection broke. It's made like a child's toy. Cheap plastic and fell apart within months of purchase. Do not buy this!!

Great vacuum. Picks up dirt on rug and floors. I would recommend this vacuum to anyone. I bought expensive ones that did not work as well. Can't beat the price too. Very happy with it.

Better than I thought
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product free in exchange for my honest, unbiased review. I need a vacuum that can go from carpet to tiled floors, this does it pretty effortlessly. For a vacuum that is in this price point I wasnt expecting to like it as much, it has great suction (better than the one I currently have that was 3-4 times the price), i was pleasantly surprised. I do wish it had a better assortment of attachments though.

Belt snapped soon after purchase
The vacuum worked well upon purchase, but the belt broke after just a week. Finding which belt is the proper replacement belt is also near-impossible without reaching out to customer service.

Have only used it once but so far very impressed. Very powerful suction and got up a TON of dust that my old vacuum was simply missing. Did the same job that much more expensive vacuums that I’ve owned in the past do. Can’t speak on the durability but after the first use it seems great.

Not the best quality .the brush stopped spinning and the plug 🔌 is broken and didn’t hit 12 months using yet though .but sucking is good but the material quality is not durable

Dont buy it
It’s definitely not I was expecting. The hose is rigid and pulls off the unit. When done vacuuming it’s hard to put back in a standing position. I’m thinking about returning it.
