This vacuum is powerful but, there are some things I am not happy with. 1. The hose is not long enough. If you are trying to use the attachments, often the vacuum tips over because the hose just doesn't reach very far. 2. There is no way to just have hose suction. The brush bar continually spins. Compared to my last Hoover pet vacuum that lasted 13 years, I am disappointed. The brush attachment with lint pad is like magic. I love it. Overall, I am sort of satisfied but not in love with it.

Started Smoking Within 20 Seconds
Received this vacuum as a gift so I was excited to start it up, I was quickly disappointed. The vacuum was on for 20 seconds, vacuumed up 4 specs of dust and immediately started smoking. Even after taking it outside to air out, my house smelled like burnt rubber for over an hour. Do. Not. Buy. This.

Not happy
I have always loved hover. This vacume is m o t good at cleaning up pet hair. Can't find a filter. Very disappointing. I really needed a good pet vacuum.

I wouldn't buy this product again.
Had the sweeper for just a couple months and the bottom plate kept falling off. Seems to be an ongoing issue with this model. Tried to look on Hoover's website for the parts, but they don't list model number (UH75210) on their own website. Hoover used to be a trusted name.

Did not clean well
This vacuum would not suck up well. It would roll over or push little debris. Complete waste of money. Might work better over hardwood? Did not leave my carpet feeling clean at all.

The worst vacuum and the worst costumer service.
Purchased 2 within the same year after the first one broke 2 months in. The second one eventually shorted out and sparked. Hoover won't do anything because I don't have the receipt anymore. Terrible.

I used to love Hoover products. Unfortunately, after 1 month the bottom plate broke off. We tried to glue it back on but there's no way to get it to hold. Expensive product made cheaply.

Not the Hoover I Know
Like others, I also had a previous Hoover with the auto rewind, blue color. In fact the last several vacuums that I had were Hoover. I purchased this style at the end of summer 2024 after much research. I am so very disappointed. I agree that it is hard to push and the adjustments don't seem to help. I can't use the nozzle attachment without the whole vacuum falling over. And I don't know about anyone else feels but when I use the attachments the hose will pinch the skin on my hand or arm and it hurts terribly. I do not recommend this style of Hoover. I wish that I hadn't bought it! 😕

I am having a real problem with this vacuum.
This vacuum is very hard to push on the carpet. I tried all the carpet height settings and it made no difference. It smelled like something was burning. It worked fine on the hard wood floor settings. This is such a disappointment. I have always purchased Hoovers in the past so when my kids bought me a new vacuum for Christmas, they took my lead and bought Hoover.

Defective product and false advertising on description
This vacuum is advertised to work on all floor types. It has settings for carpet heights and a hard floor setting….they don't change anything. The biggest complaint is the hard floor setting because I used it to try out and it didn't turn rollers off so my floor was scratched. The rollers stay on even when you disconnect his to use attachments so I can use for upholstery either. I think we should be able to return these for something similar that isn't defective because this vacuum isn't cheap and the defect is with the series because they all work with this defect. A vacuum that can work on hard floor has to be able to turn brush off that's the difference or else we could use any vacuum on hard floor.

Had this product just over a year. Almost right away the pet turbo attachment quit working, then the light stopped. The bottom plate fell off - I wasn't able to use it. Hoover did replace the vac

I would not buy this again
I have always had Hoover vacuums so when we moved into a new house I knew I wanted to buy a Hoover. I still have my old Hoover Windtunnel rewind but wanted a new one for the upper level of my house. I purchased this high performance swivel xl pet because along with the new house we had rescued a husky. I was so disappointed and frustrated that I convinced my husband we needed to replace the carpet because clearly it couldn't be the new Hoover! Now less than a year and the hose connection keeps coming out of the vacuum when I am trying to use it so I just want to cry! I am so disappointed.

Useless
Tried it on every floor in the house on every setting. It suctions onto whatever surface you're cleaning and the brush freezes and you can smell hot rubber. Can't turn the brush off, so not crazy about that on my hardwoods. Didn't get a single full use out of it. It's on its way back to the store to be replaced by a Dyson.

I purchased a Hoover vacuum in 2003, and I used it and loved it for 19 years. When we finally had to replace that one, we bought this Powerdrive Swivel XL Pet vacuum in 2022. The first one didn't last a year...the hose broke off. It was not being stretched or overused. Hoover replaced it, and we had to cut the cord from the old one and send a picture before we threw it away. Now just a year later, this replacement Powerdrive Swivel XL Pet vacuum has another problem. This time, the plastic casing that covers the brushes has broken. For a while, it was just falling off regularly, but I could snap it back in. Then, last week, a piece of the plastic broke while I was vacuuming. The vacuum is really difficult to use without that piece on it. I am very disappointed in the quality of this vacuum, and I hope that Hoover will improve their quality.

Never buy a Hoover again...
I bought this to replace an older Hoover that I loved but this is cheap, plastic and quite frankly not fit for purpose. The brushes do not stop even when locked upright, this puts tremendous stress on the belts which then break constantly. Going out to buy a Dyson now, sorry Hoover you just lost another long term client,

Had to get a new belt before I used it one time. Adjusting the hights suck and dont help, it is extremely hard to push on the carpet. My husband calls it a workout. It picks literally picks nothing up. Worst vacuum I have ever bought.

While this vacuum has more than adequate power and versatility, what good is it if it's parts fall off!!! The bottom wheel plate (see photo) fell off and now the vacuum does not propel over our hardwood floor or adjust to areas with rugs. Poor design and component quality!!! I come from generations of Hoover vacuum owners! No more Hoovers for this family!!!

The wheels keep falling off & the suction doesn't last long without disassembling the entire vacuum and cleaning after every single use. I love bagless vacuums & would never purchase a Hoover again

Hose broke off vacuum after 14 uses - got a free replacement
I like the way this vacuum works. Been happy with performance in cleaning small debris from low pile carpet. However the hose broke off the vacuum after 14 standard uses. Returned and given replacement - hopefully this won't happen again. My recommendation is where the hose connects to the vacuum, to have a screw on base connected to hose that screws into vacuum (other vacuums have this connection and does give this area more stability so it won't crack off) If it cracks off again, there is no fix. I am nervous that this will happen again but hope it doesn't

It was good at first
I have a little dog but she sheds a lot and we wanted a good vacuum it did good in the beginning the belt broke 3 times then we replaced it and it's been good but now it overheats and just shuts off and I checked all the filters and everything and I only get maybe like 15 minutes of vacuuming before it just shuts off
