[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The drapery rod was very secure when I placed it over my window. I use it on my back door and the curtains we hang are fairly weighty. The rid hasn't slipped,even when my younger kids slam the door when running in or out of the backyard. I'm really happy with it. I kind of wish I had it before installing my previous rod because I'm left with small holes that we are going to repair from the previous rod we had.

I am currently using it in my laundry room as a towel rack as well as a drying rack but can easily use it as a curtain rod or decorative feature. It easily can be moved around to serve other purposes. It is stylish and adds contemporary look to wherever it is placed. I highly recommend this product to anyone on need of a sturdy towel rack or curtain rod for a metal door. Great product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like that this rod is held up by magnets, making it super simple to use. I don’t use it for drapery but for towels. It easily sticks onto surfaces. Nothing it is holding is super heavy, so I can’t speak to how it would hold up. It looks good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My favorite thing about this is that I can put it places that I can’t (or shouldn’t) drill. It has two magnetic ends and the rod can extend for larger areas. The magnets are more on the weak side and pulling too hard will make the entire thing come apart. It’s best left where it is and shouldn’t be yanked. If left alone and just used for my grease rag, it did what it should do. I think this is good for areas where it’s not feasible to drill and an easy, quick problem solver to hang lighter items with so, I would recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Mainstays Cameron 7/16" Adjustable Multi-Use Magnetic Drapery Rod, 16-28" is a fantastic multi-use rod. It's adjustable and can be used on any magnetic surface. There were a few thing's I disliked about the rod though. The first thing is when being adjusted, it falls apart at the middle if you pull it apart past it's recommended adjustments. The other thing that I wasn't too impressed with was the strength of the magnet. It's not as strong as I expected it to be. Overall, I can say it's an awesome multi-use rod and it does work very well with a lightweight hand towel or curtain.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With winter approaching, I decided to lighten and brighten the mood and decor of my home utilizing a nice, bright turquoise sea blue and changed all the rugs,sofa cushions and accessories in my kitchen, guest bathroom, and living room. Now I need to hang the blue living room curtains. Since they are pretty heavy drapes, I decided to use metal curtain rods to hold them. I love silver and chose Mainstays adjustable 7/16-in Multi-Use Magnetic Drapery Rod. Sadly, when I took the rod out of the package, it would not extend past 19 in. with my curtain on it the rod and after I took the curtain off, it extended to 25 in and felt very flimsy with little to no tension. After just one day of holding my heavy brocade curtains, the rod was bowed out of shape. I think this rod is designed for very thin, light drapes.

You can use it from a curtain on a metal door window or to hold a hand Towel on the fridge, stove, ect. You can use it to hang accessories and so on. I hung curtains on my front door and it fit perfect! The finish and color are exactly what I wanted (silver and more of a matte) and match other fixtures in the room!

I immediately opened my package and installed my Mainstays Cameron 7/16" Adjustable Multi-Use Magnetic Drapery Rod on the side of my grill. Now I'm able to hang my towels and grilling tools. The idea of being able to hang a rod in 2 seconds and not having to drill holds in the surface is terrific.

Everywhere I have put it there has been no slippage. I currently have mine on my fridge for extra kitchen towels. The rod is adjustable so I can make it bigger or smaller based on what I'm wanting to hang. Overall, this is a great multifunctional product.
