Q: Can you lock both rods in place at the desired length? I can't figure out how to do it...

A: Hi PaoPao, Thank you for your question! There is not a way to ‘lock’ the rod at a specific dimension. Instead, the rods should stay in place based on where the bracket is attached to the wall. Have a great day! - Jackie

Maybe this can hold gauzy curtains. It is very flimsy. Would have been a good size because the room I have is small so the curtain rod wouldn't overpower the room. But the curtain rod ended up being useless because the weight of the curtains made it bend.

These rods are as expected for the price. Nothing extra special and they’ll be just right for handing cafe style curtains! I would love to find the old style curtain rings with claw clips. Together with the rods would complete the look I am hoping to achieve.

I paired the Essentials Cafe Curtain rod with an Alison Floral Sheer Panel for a very inexpensive (under $13) solution to privacy and light filtering at my kitchen door. I've had it installed for 6 months now and see no signs of bowing or warping, with a side note that the bar is not extended at all. It was super easy to install, the ends of the rods snap into the bracket making them completely secure. Make sure the plastic end piece is on the edge of the rod when sliding curtains on otherwise they will snag the fabric. This is a very light weight rod so I wouldn't recommend it for heavy fabrics but I did my research before purchasing and am glad I did.

Pretty flimsy. Its a nice cheap option if you don't plan on opening and closing the curtains fairly often. Every-time we open the curtains the two bars come apart and fall down. Looks pretty nice but just isn't very durable.
