Logan and Addie
I’m slightly torn on giving this book a 5 star review or a 4 star review. I did like the book, it had banter, which I absolutely love in rom-com books. It described beautiful places I would love to see in person as I love medieval themes and places. But I just can’t put my finger on what bothered me about this story. On one hand it was a slow burn, which is fine as a lot of slow burn stories are some of my favorites. But I also feel like there was something missing and something either lacking or something that just dragged on and on (kind of like this review lol). Either way it was a sweet story and while I liked it I honestly don’t know if or when I will find myself loving this story. I do however plan on reading the second and possibly third book in this series but time will tell.

LOVE THIS BOOK
I absolutely, completely, wholeheartedly ADORE this book and pre-ordered it before I even finished the last page. This is such a beautiful story of Addie navigating grief and saying goodbye to her mother, while seamlessly weaving in a perfect romantic storyline that I was rabid for from the moment these two appeared on page together. The way A. Kiley was able to blend this love story between Addie and Logan, and Addie and her mom, with the love story to Scotland, was so seamless I'm still not over it. This is a review I've avoided writing because I have trouble putting into words how wonderful this book is. All the stars and more for this true gem! P. S. He calls her Lass. LASS?! I mean come ON. Sigh.
