Crane wouldn't stay up, Kids lost interest, Case Broke
This is one of the higher priced sets and it turned out to be a big disappointment. First of all, the picture gives the impression that there's a handle on the case to conveniently lug the set around but it turns out that the handle is a cardboard one attached to the packaging which usually gets thrown out. I thought there would be a handle that's folded into the case underneath the packaging but there's nothing to help kids carry the case. One of the latches broke off of the case as soon as it was opened and the crane kept falling over and wouldn't stay in place. As a result, the kids got frustrated and just started playing with the sand. When it was time to put it away, the two pieces of the case separated/broke apart and couldn't be fixed. Because the kids loved the sand, I couldn't upset them by taking it away to return it but I wish I had just bought two bags of Kinetic Sand and two dishwashing sink tubs instead.

My 4 yr old is obsessed! He will sit and play with this for hours constructing bricks and knocking them down. The crane feature was a little hard to get working and it could be a little better, but doesn't ruin the fun.

I like that this kit comes with a case that securely closes for a quick clean up. It is nice that the crane's arm swivels and can be adjusted up and down and that the attachments (wrecking ball or "claw") can be switched out. The bricks formed nicely in the mold of the truck bed. The plastic truck is sturdy enough, but I question how long it will hold up among highly-energetic play. I agree with the other reviews that more sand is definitely needed. It would be nice if a few more accessories were included; we added our own. Perhaps another truck with a flat bed for transporting the bricks could have been include. I bought this kit for almost half off the original price. The discounted price is reasonable for this purchase. We are curious about the other themed kits and may explore these.

Crane is bad quality. Not worth it.
The dump truck was fun but the crane is super disappointing- the arm falls off the base really easily, and the crane won’t stand up on its own unless it is connected to the case. You’d be better off buying better quality construction trucks/cranes separately and then a bag of kinetic sand.

My kids love it
Kinetic Sand has always been a hit with my kids. I like this set because it comes in a portable carrying case. Even though it includes some construction vehicles, there's still room to store more. This means I now have more space in the toy box because I moved all the construction vehicles into the case! I liked it so much that I frequently give it as a gift to other children.
