Solid wood frame, flimsy slats
The boxed Queen frame was long and heavy, making it difficult to get around corners and upstairs. But the weight was understandable because the frame is solid wood. The slats, however, are flimsy - less than 3" in width and 3.5" apart, which is too far apart for most modern mattresses and their warranties. I tried to get an extra set of slats but customer service not only wouldn't sell me any but also warned me against adding my own. It would be impossible to take the frame apart and repack it so I'm basically stuck with it and risking my mattress.

Fit together nicely
This bed is wood except for the center posts. Looks nice. I like the 16" height which is slightly higher than our previous bed. It's easier to make and easier to get up out of. Also the cats can walk right under it. Best part was how nicely the pieces fit together. It gave us a lot of confidence in the bed.

If I could give it a zero I would. I have had to reorder this TWICE since both times they gave me the wrong color! I am not able to return it again due to an injury, so I am annoyed that they did this two times!!!! NEVER ORDER THIS!

This bed is so nice! I can't believe it was so inexpensive. The packaging was good, which matters a lot with furniture (nothing chipped, wasn't left with a whole barrel of Styrofoam). It was super easy to put together, I didn't need any help, and I live that it came with a ratcheting Allen wrench that's actually good quality, super happy to have that. I have so much storage space under my bed now, and it doesn't creak at all.

Quick and Easy No Power Tool Assembly
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Mellow Naturalista Classic solid wood bed frame is great quality and looks fantastic in my guest room. Mellow provided a small but surprisingly heavy duty metal ratcheting tool that enabled me and my partner to assemble the bed in just 30 minutes. Everything about the bed frame from the supports to hardware speaks to this being a higher better quality product. The rubber pads provided for the supports were thick and heavy duty unlike the usual cheap felt provided. My favorite feature is that no screw or bolt holes can be seen as everything is connected to the interior of the bed frame. The stain on the wood was consistent and there was no sharp or rough edges to be found. The bed frame is quite high which provides enough space for storage underneath such as tall wicker baskets to hold pillows and extra linens underneath.

Very Sturdy and Attractive
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was initially attracted to the clean, simple design of this bed. But I was dubious about how if the bed would be sturdy without a box spring. It took two of us about 15 minutes to put the bed together. My husband is a contractor so he does have more than a little amount of tools and talent. It might take others a bit more time but no more than a half hour. The bed was not only simple and beautiful it was sturdy. I was concerned that the slats would not hold up after a night of tossing and turning. I was proved wrong on all points. The bed is not only lovely it is also very solid. We are very happy.

Intuitive Building
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bedframe had a very intuitive building process that was easy to interpret most of the time, taking around 45 minutes to build. Numbered stickers pair up with each other on other parts of wood, with the screws being clearly laid out and labeled in the package. My favorite part of building this was the tool included, pictured in the review. The tool is very nice quality, and made building significantly easier than using the standard Allen key that was also included. You can switch the direction in which it turns, either tightening or loosening the screws. Also included were anti slip pads for the feet and the mattress, which both work fairly well, although the slip pads for the feet do fall off very easily when moving the frame. Overall this was an easily understandable build with short, uncomplicated, and straightforward instructions.
