Q: Is this machine washable?
submitted by lectrongrl - 13 days ago
A: For KONG Plush toys, cleaning suggestions would be to wipe off with mild dish soap and warm water or use the washing machine with cold water on the delicate cycle and skip the dryer, and your toy should come out just fine! For extra dirty plush toys, you might want to use a pre-treatment for the stains with something like Shout and then throw it in the wash.

Q: My puppy is an AGGRESSIVE chewer, is this toy suitable? He is 10 months old and almost 100 pounds, we believe he is a lab/pit mix, but he must have something much bigger also.

A: The black KONG Extreme toys are specifically created with tough and aggressive chewers in mind, we would recommend a toy from this product line in an XXL size for your pup based on their description provided.

Q: Where is the rattle on the Kong turtle?
submitted by Bailey - 1 year ago
A: Hello, The Rattle should be located with the squeaker portion of the toy.

This toy has garnered mixed feedback from guests, with many praising its cute design and initial durability for light to moderate chewers. However, several guests reported that it did not hold up well against aggressive chewers, leading to disappointment. While some dogs enjoyed playing with it for extended periods, others managed to destroy it quickly. Overall, it may be suitable for gentle play but may not meet the expectations for tough chewers.

This is my dog’s favorite toy. She destroys most stuffed dog toys but this one has lasted much longer than the other ones, even other tough chewer approved toys.

The only dog toy that my labradoodle has not been able to pull apart and eat. Bought one two years ago and although it is still in one piece, it is dirty and needed replacing.

Our 4 month old puppy tore a small hole in this the first couple hours she had it. We watched her close with it and yet she still managed to rip and entire flipper(fun, flapper, leg?) to shreds and completely off. At that point she apparently ingested stuffing when one of the teens wasn’t watching as closely as we thought and *thankfully* threw it all up in the yard. It went in the trash within two days. I honestly think a squishmallow toy would have held up better. This is not the quality we are used to from Kong. If I could give zero stars I absolutely would.

The Durability is far from tough!! My dog chewed it up and removed the stuffing within a day and now he just plays with the deflated turtle minus two legs. I had high hopes….
Lasted beyond our sweet dog's life!

This toy outlived our dog and has been passed on to another family dog. Our dog was quite a chewer, easily tearing into stuffies within minutes. Somehow the Kong turtle made it through aggressive chewing and was her favorite toy. She would select it from her toy bin and throw it into the air. Caroline was probably not the most aggressive chewer compared to others, yet this toy lasted for at least two years — the ONLY one that she was unable to destroy!
Not tough. At all.

I'm so confused! People say this isn't for aggressive dogs, but my bully breed couldn't chew through it. And someone said their dog got sick, but seriously? I'm a vet, and what they described is impossible.

Sturdier than most stuffed toys but my Aussie still had stuffing out by lunch on Christmas 😂 which was still better than the normal 5 minutes it usually takes them

Advertised for long last play and made for chewers. Wrong. I got this toy for my 70lb boxer/pit mix and he had it destroyed within an hour. Complete waste and a huge mess. I’ll stick to BullyMake.

This toy made my dog deathly ill. On Christmas Eve, she got this as an early present, and by late that night she was clearly in distress throwing up and panting heavily. Christmas morning was a scene unlike any I’ve ever experienced with her- liquid heat from both ends almost nonstop. All day she was sick, and by nighttime when nothing was in her system anymore, she seemed to be better. The morning of the 26th, I gave her access to her toys again, and she chose this same one to chew on. Hours later, she’s back in the same condition- throwing up and spewing out her rear. All night we ran outside until she again had morning in her system. It got so bad, she started bleeding out of I’ll let you guess where. The next day after she had been able to rest and eat a little something, I called her vet to see what I should do and explained the situation. Their first question after I told them she hadn’t been anywhere new and hadn’t had access to get into anything was if I gave her a new toy or treat which would be this turtle. Their best guess is that this toy has been exposed to rat poison or a similar chemical, and each time I gave my dog this toy, I was exposing her to poison. Thanks Target! Thanks KONG! I’ve tried contacting the store over a dozen times and they don’t respond or answer their phones. Probably should show up and cause a scene, they might care then! Don’t buy this toy unless you want to unalive your pet.
