Not a gimmick, it truly works! Go down two shades, though.
I heard of the hype, I thought it was gimmicky, and I had to try this for myself. I am terrible at sculpting/filling/defining my brows. This L’Oreal brow pen makes it so incredibly easy to define my brows. I don’t know what is happening with my brow hairs, but they are becoming sparse and very uneven. The two prong brushes are perfectly thin enough to perfectly mimic my actual hairs. Press a little harder and it’ll match thicker hairs. I have Asian black hair (dark brown/black that appears pure black in the shade) and I ordered “Brunette.” Highly recommend going down two shades. Brunette is too dark and nearly matches my black hair. I’m going to order a lighter shade and see how that works.

Not the usual L'Oreal quality
Fills in nicely but does not wear well at all. Gone in a few hours. Which is doubly frustrating because there is not much product in the tube. Also cannot control width of the lines. Sometimes they are thin and sometimes very heavy so it can be difficult to get an even appearance. Typically I do very well with L’Oreal, but this product was disappointing.

Best hair stroke
This is the first eyebrow pencil/product that actually looks like hair strokes. If you have dark hair, the brunette is good but pretty dark, I might actually buy the light brunette one. I bought the one darker than brunette and it is way too dark. So far, I have not had either one of them dry out, but I did notice when I was using it yesterday. It was putting on too much product, do your best to feather it when you put it on use the lightest hand you can. Also, I see some people saying that the product doesn't come out, you have to shake it really good before you use it. Definitely worth a try.
