Q: when it says it disappears when you brush, is it brushable and then still provides hold after brushing? or does brushing remove the product?

A: You can brush your hair out @ night & usually most of the spray is brushed out & hair feels soft.. Always depends on how much you use & any other stying products, etc... I think it's a great spray!

Holds well. All “unscented” sprays have a masking fragrance but at least the Elnett scent is very light and dissipates quickly. The spray mechanism can’t be beat! Gives a very fine mist. Wish it would hold a little better but overall a very good hairspray.

They changed the formula and it is nothing like it was before. My hair feels like it is “coated” and the hold is not very good anymore. What a shame. I have used this for years. I never understand why companies change products that are perfectly fine.

Why did you change this? L'Oreal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray Extra Strong Hold Unscented has been my holy grail for 25+ years. This new 6 ingredient formula is terrible! Why add water to the ingredients? My hair looses it's hold in the time it takes me to walk from my bathroom to the kitchen. I've used almost the entire can of this new formula and it hasn't gotten any better. The search for a new hairspray begins today. Will not repurchase this new formula.

I have fine hair. It is difficult to have a style last for very long. This keeps my hair in place all day, but is not stiff or sticky to touch. And you can brush right through it like it isn't even there, preventing breakage. I only need a small amount to accomplish this, so the price evens out with the less expensive product that requires quite a bit more to hold the same way.

This is the only hairspray I’ll ever use again. I go several days between washes and love that this product really does provide great hold without leaving a residue or white flakes. It has a light smell that is hardly noticeable. I’ve tried other alcohol free hairsprays and found they all leave either film or residue but this product is amazing. It does not cause my scalp to itch and is non-drying.

For all those who struggle with scent sensitivity, please know that this is absolutely NOT unscented. It is a better scent than most hairsprays, and the scent does go away after awhile, but it is most certainly not free of perfume. The hold is fine, no issues there; if it was truly unscented, I'd give it 5 stars. For me personally, I can still use it since the scent goes away over time, BUT if I already had a headache or could tell one was coming, this product would send me over the edge.

Love this hairspray. It makes my hair look and feel good. It gives my hair needed body and holds it in place, but doesn’t look or feel glued in place. It doesn’t get sticky or have a heavy feeling, even in high humidity. No build up feeling nor drying out between washings. It’s perfect.
