Q: when it says it disappears when you brush, is it brushable and then still provides hold after brushing? or does brushing remove the product?

A: You can brush your hair out @ night & usually most of the spray is brushed out & hair feels soft.. Always depends on how much you use & any other stying products, etc... I think it's a great spray!

Q: Most extra hold hairspray brands are difficult to wash out with one shampooing. Does Elnett hairspray wash out well with just one shampooing, or does it take more to get it all out?

I have always loved this hairspray. It held all day and my hair was soft and shiny. But the new formulation with the white cap does not hold as well. It is not an extra strong hold as is advertised. I compared the ingredients and they have added water in the formula and that could be the reason.
Do not like. No hold. Limp, flat hair.

I do not like this new formula with only five ingredients. It does not hold my hair at all! It actually coats it and it lays flatter than if I hadn't sprayed it. Bring the old formula back! I will not be able to use Loreal hair spray if this is all there is.

Works for my straightened curly hair that usually curls up no matter what I use. This is amazing!!! I’m so happy I did some research online and found this. I was wasting money on expensive sprays that didn’t prevent my hair from curling. I will always use L’Oreal’s hairsprays. I only wish I did years ago. Thank you.

Oh Elnett what have you done. No hold whatsoever, makes my hair incredibly limp- even making it greasy which I have never suffered with and that new overpowering scent. Mmmm… I have been loyal to Elnett for 30 years. I will never buy again. So very, very disappointed.

This hairspray was famous for a reason: it worked. This new formula, sadly, does not work, and even though it claims to be unscented, it has an odd odor to it. After using this brand for years, sadly I have to find a new hairspray. Very disappointed.

I have fragrance allergies. I purchased this product specifically because it has "unscented" on the front of the can. I took it home and used it. All day long I could smell the product and I had my typical fragrance triggered headache along with a slight respiratory response. Tried it a second with the same reaction. Finally looked at the ingredient list and there it was "parfum/fragrance". Once again, I am disappointed in a company that misrepresents a product. It is so difficult to find products that do not have additional fragrance.

This is truly the best drugstore hairspray available. I used Kenra 25 for years but tried Elnett a few months ago and have never looked back. Kenra is great but Elnett is cheaper, performs the same, and is easier to find. A no-brainer switch for me!

I couldn’t use much of it because it immediately felt sticky. No hold. No shine. The only positive is not overly scented. Overall I’m unlikely to use it so it was a waste of $.

The new Elnett is horrible. There is WATER in it. It makes my hair so limp, I have been using Elnett for over 30 years and loved it. It's time for me to, sadly, find a new hairspray.

This hair spray no longer works. I can sit there and spray and spray until the cows come home but it has the same effect as an empty aerosol can. So disappointed I have to switch hairsprays after using this for so long.

This is supposed to be extra strong hold and has no holding power at all. It’s like I sprayed nothing on my hair. Do not buy. Waste of money!

Holds well. All “unscented” sprays have a masking fragrance but at least the Elnett scent is very light and dissipates quickly. The spray mechanism can’t be beat! Gives a very fine mist. Wish it would hold a little better but overall a very good hairspray.
