The worst shampoo I have ever tried [Returned]

I didn't believe the bad reviews, before I actually tried the shampoo myself, and was shocked to see what it does to my hair. THE MOMENT the shampoo touches my hair, I can no longer put my finger in my hair. It's as if I have poured acid on my hair. The shampoo basically does the opposite of what it says: it makes my curls super dry, unmanageable, flaky, and frizzy. UGH.

Hi Sara! Thank you for using EverCurl Sulfate-Free Shampoo. We can understand your disappointment when you experienced dry, unmanageable, frizzy hair after using this shampoo. This situation is very unusual, for hair to respond in such a drastic way to a shampoo, especially since shampoo does not chemically process the hair. We regret the inconvenience you have experienced and will give special consideration to your feedback! Thanks for sharing your experience.

I have curly. kinky, thick hair. I use conditioner every day, it's great. This product softens my hair and helps to alleviate the crazy kinky fuzz around my hairline.

Do Not Buy If You Care About Your Hair

I bought this a couple of days ago and used it for the first time today. This is hands down one of the worst products I’ve used on my hair. My hair feels no different than when normal shampoo is used. The conditioner is no help either. My hair is so dry and frizzy that it will not curl.

I used this product for years, but since they recently changed the formula to add more oils, I can no longer use this product as it makes me break out all along the hairline and scalp. So sad they ruined a great thing!

Has Sulfate!

I recently bought this because I have type 3A curly hair. I bought it because it “doesn’t have sulfate” but then when I received it I check the ingredients and the first 5 are literally sulfates! I can’t even use this product because it will literally dry my hair and damage it. I am super unsatisfied.

Hi wilmary21, Sulfates in shampoos are surfactants which function as foaming agents and emulsifiers. The term "sulfate" refers to the sulfate portion of the molecule. This portion of the molecule is associated with greater cleaning and foaming effects. Sodium lauryl sulfoacetate and disodium laureth sulfosuccinate are also foaming agents and emulsifiers but the sulfate portion of the molecule has been replaced. These ingredients are not chemically classified as "sulfates" and are generally perceived as milder surfactants. Thanks for your interest in L'Oreal!

My scalp is dry while my hair looks oily soon after getting a shower. This shampoo helps my situation. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
