L'Oreal Paris Infallible Skin Ink Matte 2-in-1 Foundation and Concealer - 0.5 fl oz

Bought this because of a recommendation but I didn't like this like I thought I would unfortunately. I'm a hotbox (aka I sweat on my face and neck and most of my makeup gets wiped away) & my friend said the Skin Ink will stay put without transferring or fading, but I'm not sure if I got the right shade or not, or if I'm applying it wrong, but it doesn't last on me and it's pretty drying. And sidenote - make sure you shake before applying and blend blend blend this immediately or you're outta luck lol. It stays put and doesn't budge on me right after I finish my makeup. Might try another shade to give it another go but until then I think 3 stars is fair.

It’s very lightweight and perfect for summer. It’s easy to blend and not too heavy on the skin. It has a bit of a smell but it’s still great. It’s more of a soft matte finish which is great for oily or combo skin types. They also have a variety of shades available.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This did not work great on my oily skin. It went on nicely and was sheer but I could build up the coverage to camouflage my pih. However, after a few hours it was splotchy and separated and had oxidized to be a bit more orangey. However, I gave it to my mom who has normal skin and she really liked it. It was a nice sheer coverage but evened out the skin tone and the selling point, lasted through sweat on a 103 degree day. The shade match was good, she has pink undertones so usually makeup is too orange or yellow but this looked very natural. She did say she would want more coverage but liked this light option for a hot day so it doesn’t feel too heavy on the face.

The consistency seemed too thin and I feared it would settle into lines, especially around the eye area. However, it surprisingly provides decent coverage and sets fairly quickly after application, preventing it from settling into lines. The result was a natural look that lasted almost the entire workday. I also appreciated the ease of blending. The applicator is a nice touch, allowing you to control the amount of product you apply at a time. Overall, I’ll continue to use it as my work foundation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] L’Oreal products have been faves for years and I’d heard great things about the infallible line but hadn’t tried it prior to this. This concealer exceeded my expectations. Application went on creamy and smooth and I love how buildable it is if additional coverage is needed.

I came across this on Instagram and decided to dig a little deeper to see how it performs. I’m 51 and have extremely dark under-eye circles that are tough to conceal. This concealer is lightweight but still provides great coverage — I was able to build it up with a few light layers. The shade finder on the website made it easy to match, especially using the brand I’ve been wearing lately. It lasted all day, unlike a lot of other brands I’ve tried, and it looked really natural on my skin.

I usually like to let my concealer set a while before blending out to get even more coverage. Do not do that with this product. It will not move!

Dries down very fast so you do have to blend very quickly and not let it sit. Wears well all day. I would recommended this for oily to combination skin not dry skin.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Awesome applicator but still need to rub in a bit, which is typical. It blends nicely and covers darker spots. Doesn’t look cakey or weird on wrinkles and also doesn’t look dry once it’s set.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found the coverage to be lightweight but definitely even out my skin tone without covering all my freckles. This stuff dried really fast so it was a little hard to blend but I used a makeup sponge to help. I would buy again.

Pros: THIS STUFF LASTS!! It didn’t budge all day. I even fell asleep for a nap and my makeup was FLAWLESS when I woke up. It also makes whatever you put on top, like blush or bronzer, last too. I also live in Texas and it’s July. HOT AND HUMID!! It had no issue. Cons: You have to work QUICKLY!! This foundation has a serious learning curve. And I’m still figuring it out. It dries down fast. So you almost have to work in sections and if you over lap it can get sticky. As it dries it gets tacky. But then becomes smooth. No need for powder. I messed up and it was like putty trying to blend. I tried washing my face. It was horrible. Barely any washed off and then was patchy all over. I had to wash and scrub 3 times. Even oil had a hard time taking it off. If you don’t want foundation on your lips, avoid your lips at all costs. It will not wipe off! I would only use powders on top for blush and contour and bronzer. Anything creamy you have to smudge to blend will create a mess. This is not a smudgy product. This is not a foundation to use for the first time before you need to be somewhere. You gotta take time to test it out. Try a thinner layer first. Then next time try more if you want fuller coverage. I’m still trying to figure it out around my nose. Lol. ATTN: Just saw!! Whilst taking photos for the review. It says to shake the product. GOOD TO KNOW!! I am in shade N20

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to love this but the consistency is confusing at best. It’s oily but also wet, so the coverage is super sheer when it goes on. You’d think that would make it easy to blend but somehow it clings to every dry patch so it looks like you don’t have makeup on to cover anything but somehow still have patchy skin. Hard pass for me!
