A: Drill is needed only when you are mounting the cabinet to the wall.

A: No you need hammer and Phillips screwdriver though. And attach plastic drawer sides to main drawer board BEFORE the opposite board or you’ll also need a short screwdriver to attach.

A: The same things happened with mine. There’s no magnet to hold the doors shut. I followed all of the instructions included.

A: Instructions say to not mount to the wall. From the construction I don’t think you should either unless you add support from the bottom. There are screws/holes to attach to wall at the top but that’s for stability rather than mounting

A: I had wanted to purchase this product as a freestanding unit (not in front of a wall), but based on some reviews, even though you don’t need to mount it to a wall, this shoe rack is open in the back. So for aesthetics, you would need to place it in front of a wall unless you don’t mind seeing what’s inside from the back.
