Q: Do I need a drill to assemble it?

A: No you need hammer and Phillips screwdriver though. And attach plastic drawer sides to main drawer board BEFORE the opposite board or you’ll also need a short screwdriver to attach.

A: Yes. The ‘divider’ board has two angles available and can just be left out for use with boots etc

Q: Can you mount this on the wall?

A: Instructions say to not mount to the wall. From the construction I don’t think you should either unless you add support from the bottom. There are screws/holes to attach to wall at the top but that’s for stability rather than mounting

submitted byAllen - 1 year agoTarget staff supportA: I had wanted to purchase this product as a freestanding unit (not in front of a wall), but based on some reviews, even though you don’t need to mount it to a wall, this shoe rack is open in the back. So for aesthetics, you would need to place it in front of a wall unless you don’t mind seeing what’s inside from the back.

A: They do! I have this same unit and everything fits. Just be cautious that I was able to fit 5 shoes per row, where it advertises 6 (total for me is 10 pairs)

It makes your space look organized. Personally I love it. It fit 12 pairs of shoes (size 6-7 women) for me HOWEVER It won't work for all shoes. I don't think bigger sizes will fit. The wider/bulkier the shoe the less will fit. The price was reasonable compared to others I've looked at.

I’ve been looking for shoe storage that isn’t going to break the bank like the IKEA units. This is definitely a bit smaller, and the back is open like other reviews state but I love it. It holds a great amount of shoes, closes gently and was easy (for my husband) to put together. The price can’t be beat either. I’d buy this again for sure.

Took me about an hour to put it together. It’s a little bigger than I thought but it serves as a nice station at the entrance. The instruction is a little confusing - there’s one page says needs “short screwdriver” but all you need is not to install the panel on the top, like swap the order a little bit

This shoe storage is great! It was pretty simple to put together and looks nice and sleek. Can hold a decent amount of shoes, but big ones may be questionable. The inner shelf can be removed though to help with taller shoes.

I'vw assembled many pieces in the past with relative success. This piece was diffixult to assemble, required a tool I do not have and many of thr holes appear to be misaligned. The final result is an EXTREMELY wobbly piece that cannot stand safely witjout being anchored to the wall with fairly large screws. DO NOT PURCHASE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

I got it on sale, so I think it is great for the price. It took me longer than expected to put together because pre drill holes were not great, and I couldn’t get everything to line up. It fits my husbands big shoes though - so worth it!

This thing is so satisfying. I love that it hides shoes. It took me an hour and a half to assemble. I got it for $30 and it was definitely worth it. It is way bigger than I expected though!

Decent for the price but only because I got it on sale…. There were issues with placement of pre-drilled holes. Was only able to construct drawer sides by angling some screws and not screwing in all the way. That does not bode well for durability. After putting together carefully, it also is even in various places. But it’s ok for price. If I use it a while with no issues I’ll update. Also wish the drawers and back were not so open. But otherwise it was ok to put together and does fit what I need

I honestly love it! I needed more shoe storage for frequently used shoes and this was a good fit for me. Keeps them tidy and hidden. There are other shoe cabinets like this on the market but none felt good enough for their $100+ price point. This was affordable and easy/quick to build with a drill. It fits several pairs of shoes (I am a size 6-7 in women’s).

Great way to hide shoes and declutter in a tight space like a hallway. Not the best quality (I was surprised to see flimsy plastic pieces inside the drawers) but for the price, it seems like a good buy. I hope it holds up!

This shoe storage is awesome. It took me, my five year old daughter and 1 year old son, approximately 30 minutes to complete. As a mother of six children, I prefer minimalist decor to create a calm environment for my children. This is aesthetically pleasing and functional. I don’t like that it’s made of particle board, and the pieces that allow the draw to pull out are plastic. I’m hoping that it will hold up well. I plan to keep this inside and hopefully add some decor to it as some others have. Overall, I’d probably buy it again.
