So warm and cozy, waterproof too, with hood, and plenty of pockets inside and out.

I haven’t worn the coat yet but it’s warm and well made. My only quibble is that the sleeves could be slightly wider to allow more room for layering underneath.

Lovely snug coat, looks ( and is ) very warm , love the fur around the hood. It is really comfortable and practical to wear. Love it !

I had been searching for a long time for a coat that was warm, yet fashionable. I finally found it in this coat!! Now that we have had some wintery weather I can say that it is super warm! I bought the tall and it fits great. I'm 5'9" so this helped give me sleeves and overall length that are perfect. The coat has plenty of pockets and they are large. The "hand" pockets are even fleece lined so they keep your hands nice and toasty warm. They are internal pockets too. There is an internal draw string to pull it in at the waist, but I haven't had to use it as the length helps keep the wind out. The sleeve cuffs keep wind out too. The hood is warm! The entire hood comes off so the coat can be laundered. But the fur trim is not removable from the hood. So probably hand wash the hood. I also love the 2 way zipper, makes it easy to get to pockets on your pants etc. There are also snap vents on the sides at the bottom should you need a bit of extra room for wide steps like hiking or climbing. If you are looking for a nice looking but really warm winter coat - this is the one!

Just what I wanted: a warm, waterproof jacket. Would prefer that the fake fur was detachable but it's not a big problem.

I have this coat since last year in light grey and I absolutely love it .due to weight loss ordered another in smaller size. Unfortunately it is too small so have returned it will happily wear the grey one.

What a warm, comfortable and well made coat! Love the deep pine green color and the snaps plus zipper along with cuffs at the wrists to keep wind out. The extra length is an absolute plus! A tad heavy but it's so warm and comfy that's fine!!!

On my list for a new winter coat: windproof, water resistant, has a hood, over my butt, very warm. This is everything BUT WARM. I don't understand how it has a max temperature rating because it's 38F today and literally any winter coat should keep me warm at nearly 40 degrees but I'm baffled to find that this parka is basically a wind-proof shell. It's not insulated. If there's down inside it definitely doesn't feel like it. I was walking across the grocery store parking lot and shivering with a this jacket zipped up over a hoodie! On the plus side, it does block the wind. On the minus side you absolutely have to wear a down puffer jacket under this coat if you want insulation. Also the hood doesn't close, there is no way to keep the hood up except with your hands. I have an old Lands End down jacket from maybe 2012-ish and it's really warm and if I hadn't bought it in white I'd still be wearing it. This Expedition jacket is simply not meant for winter.

Two reasons for my ambivalence. 1) I weighs exactly 5 lbs! Now for a down jacket with 600 fill power I took a closer look. The down which is thin and flat throughout the garment couldn't be the reason for the weight.... It has to be in the rain/wind repellent outer shell fabric that is making it heavy.... And I gotta tell you it is like wearing armor with this material. So I asked myself, "Would I mind the weight of this jacket in an extended downpour and freezing temperatures like we get here in Portland, Oregon all winter long? I sure wouldn't. I have been there done that with a insulated rain coat costing twice the price that was soaked through by the time I got home! I believe this coat is everything LAND'D END advertises it to be. So if there isn't that much down in it...I am just going to trust that this company put just enough down in it to get the temperature range rating it has. And it will prove to be just great. It is otherwise quality all the way through the jacket and ladies that plastic zipper is sturdy and easy to zip up. If they change the hood to offer the ability to remove the lovely faux fur it would be a definite plus.... Sooooo am I not sure about keeping the EXPEDITION jacket?.…........ not really. I am confident I made the right choice. Bring on the rain and colder temps.

Going to be great for forthcoming trip to Norway in the spring. A bit on the heavy side but going to be SO warm.

Beautiful coat. Very well priced. Desperately wanted to keep it but it was too short in the body for me, as waist tie was too high, which is why only 4 stars. Wish it came in “tall”. I am 5’8. It’s so cosy.

Purchased this coat in anticipation of a cold winter. This exceeds my expectations in every way. It’s stylish, much warmer than all of my NorthFace coats & sure to block the cold winter winds. I ordered an X-LG to accommodate sweaters but it fits snuggly without. The attached hood offers additional protection against the elements. Very pleased with this purchase!
