Q: Is this good for severely, dry, cracked lips? I'm extremely sick, bedridden for years, I'm dehydrated & a lot of meds don't help. I'm looking for some-thing as fab as Dr Lipp Nipple Balm. Any advic?

A: I use this as lip balm and find it to stay on and hydrate better than aquafor.
submitted byAirPodsMom - 5 years ago
A: I use this product on my lips nightly after my shower and it works amazingly for preventing chapped lips! I work outside in the weather a lot and it is a lifesaver. Occasionally, I will apply it again in the morning. I am sure it would help protect them so they could heal if they were already chapped.

A: I've never used this for my lips, but I would think it would do the trick. Have you tried aquafor?

Q: Do you have to wash this off before nursing the baby?
submitted by SuziB - 6 years ago
A: No, it's safe for baby.
submitted byMd282 - 6 years ago
A: No. It is safe for baby to nurse after applying it and leaving it on.

Q: What is the full ingredients list on this?
submitted by audball - 6 years ago
A: The Lansinoh HPA Lanolin is a single ingredient product comprised 100% of Lanolin. It's safe for mom and baby, 100% natural and hypoallergenic. The unique refining process ensures a pure, high-quality product, with no preservatives, parabens, fragrance, or taste. It is recommended to apply the Lanolin after breastfeeding, instead of before, so that it has time to absorb into the skin. The NDC information indicated in a prior response was for Lansinoh's discontinued Diaper Rash Cream, not the HPA Lanolin.

Q: does this work if you breastfeed and babie has the thrash? will it help with the thrash on the breast?
submitted by Jane - 4 months ago
A: Hello Jane, Thank you for your questions. While Lansinoh Lanolin Nipple Cream is bacteriostatic and won’t promote new growth; it does form a partially occlusive barrier, so it is not recommended that you use lanolin when you have thrush.

Q: How long is usually the expiration date
submitted by Aoha - 3 years ago
A: Hello Soha, thank you for your question. Each tube of our Lanolin Nipple Cream is stamped with an expiration date at the crimped end of the tube in the format EXP MM YY. This nipple cream is the bomb. It helps with sore nipples and dry lips. Now that I don’t use for my nipples, it is the best thing I can put on my lips even better than lip balms.

I started using this after reading on here that someone used this for stubborn chapped lips. It’s been a miracle cream. Also use it on my hands. They get so dry where I have to repeatedly wash my hands at work. Took care of my dry knuckles I’m a flash. Every one with dry skin should have this in their bag.

After giving birth my local hospital actually gave me samples of this nipple cream. Since this was my first time breastfeeding my breast were extremely tender and dry. This cream came in handy while healing my skin after my baby would cluster feed which caused cracking and bleeding. This is definitely a new mommy must have!

Breast feeding has many challenges. One of the many is sore, cracked nipples. Using this after every feed or pump session majorly reduced and prevented that for me during my breast feeding journey. The only thing I didn’t like was that it melts and stains the bra! This can be prevented, yes, but as a tired mom that’s not always going through your mind at the time of use.

This helped the pain but I thought my baby had a latching problem! I got so stressed. Turns out she did not like the taste/smell of this stuff. As soon as I washed it off, she latched right on.

You can use this in more ways than the intended use! It’s great for sore and cracked nips but also great for chapped lips! And you don’t have to wipe this off while breastfeeding. I also used this on my pump parts to make sure my nipples wouldn’t get sore.

This "cream" is super hudrating on the skin and works like a charm to relieve soreness, dryness, and cracking. The cream is more like a vaseline and goes on super easily but also stays on the fingures if you dont make sure to get it all onto the skin.

Amazing chapstick

I primarily use this as chapstick to keep moisture in my lips. It is a very thick ointment that prevents water loss and helps smooth irritated skin. I found it a little thick for nipple cream when I was breastfeeding, but it’s a solid option and you may find you prefer the consistency. If you’re pregnant and plan to breastfeed, you can also ask the hospital for this when you deliver (ask for a lot of things!). I keep the small tubes in my purse as to-go chapsticks. Better than other products marketed as chapstick in my opinion.

I use this to seal in moisture after applying lip balm at night. It's the only thing that's given me relief from my dry, post retinol lips. I'll also apply it to my cuticles and knuckles in the winter. Great versatile product
