It's fun for the kid while teaching without any boredom. It came with batteries and they are still good after a month of daily use. It's easy to grab and is safe for young kids and the batteries are screwed in like most kid's toys. We recommend it for all young kids.

It's educational and fun and as soon as we turn it on he laughs and kicks his little feet and he remains engaged the entire time it's on. I even let my baby nephew play with it and he has the same response. It's so nice when babies enjoy learning and watching them have so much fun while learning gives me great joy! 🥰

The audio isn't too loud that it's obnoxious. There's definitely some repeated images on different pages. Not sure what the purpose of those are!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think this product could be a great learning toy that is a fun introduction to phonics. There are 5 full pages worth of pictures associated with words or sounds. There are 10 colored buttons that light up surrounding the big middle red button. The big red button spins the “wheel”, the lights go around the circle of colored buttons and then it lands on a space on that particular page. There are four learning modes: explore, sounds, detective, and sound blender. Explore mode will say the name of the picture whether that be an object or an animal. Great for the younger age range for this toy. Sounds mode gives the animal or the objects sound effect that it makes. Detective mode plays a sound and the child has to find the object or animal that makes that sound. This mode is like a game and probably better for older children, like 2-3 years. Sound blender mode is used to blend the different sounds together so the child can form their own words by pressing the different colored buttons. The age range for this toy is 18 months or older. There is a switch that will switch the game into the four different modes and there is a switch to change the volume level between loud, quieter and off. At that age, this toy is a fun activity to do with an adult to help them figure it out and also solo play to push buttons, manipulate the game, turn the pages, etc. I cannot wait to give this to my nephew for his birthday, he is turning three. I think he is going to love it.
