New classroom favorite but poor quality

My students loved the counting dinosaurs for weeks after they were out to play with, but the tops of the eggs cracked and broke within the first few days. The eggs were not being played with roughly, they actually enjoy playing Easter egg hunts with them. They still use them, but some of the tops are broken.

Ever since Easter, my daughter has not stopped playing with them. She loves hatching the eggs, counting how many of each dino she has, and putting them all on her "dinosaur train". I wish I had gotten this sooner!

The kids love it, but I am disappointed with quality of eggs

I purchased this item for my preschool classroom. It was very well received by the kids. The kids love it beyond expectation. However, I am so disappointed in the quality of the eggs. The plastic is so thin and after the first day of use, 4 of the 10 eggs were cracked. The kids were simply opening the eggs and they cracked. After one week, I am now down to one egg that has the top. I realize that I have multiple kids using the manipulative, but personally, I feel the eggs should be made of a sturdier quality plastic. The dinosaurs are great colors, and fun for the kids, but now it is just more like another math counter piece in my classroom. I wanted something engaging and interactive beyond just regular counters, because I have a million of those. Please consider using a more sturdy plastic for these eggs because the idea of it is great, just not great quality.

Counting Dino-Sorters - Lots of cute and sturdy pieces!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The counting and sorting features of this toy are very nice, and the simple and sturdy dinosaur shapes are good as intended or as separate pieces for other imagination adventures. Some of the color matches between the number eggs and dinosaur pieces wasn't always clear but the included activities in the Guide are very helpful! Definitely more fun for kids that are really ready to start counting and doing simple math but still nice for younger ones that just enjoy the colors and pieces.

I love this game for my classroom. It teaches them number recognition as well as they are working on their counting skills. My kids ask to play with this everyday they love to sort the dinosaurs by color and place them in their matching egg. They also use teamwork and to help each other count the dinosaurs and tell us what number is on the egg and place that many dinosaurs in the egg.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dinosaurs come in a sturdy plastic container. There is a strong plastic small when you first open them but after a few days the smell goes away. My son like to sort them and put them into piles. They are small in size which is nice for little hands. We have practiced counting them but will come in handy when he is leaving how to add and subtract.

I got the chance to review this Dino Counting game with my daughter this month. The Dino game came in a good sturdy box! Great for storage! My daughter is 6 years old and has Dravet syndrome a form of epilepsy. She is around 3-4 years old developmentally. These Dino eggs are the perfect shape for her to hold in her hands to pull apart and put back together. The Dino's colors match the Dino eggs so that is just one of the great ways to learn from this set. We also dump all the Dino's in a bucket so she can pick out the different colors and line them up to count them. I love that the numbers are on the eggs to recognize and learn them. This game would also be great for older children to learn the names of the dinosaurs too. Overall great learning toy for all ages.

I use this product in my classroom all year long. It supports number sense for math students. First they begin by counting and making patterns. Later they can use them to work on odd and even, addition and subtraction.

So many ways to play

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Learning Resources boxes are always great - they are very sturdy with great pictures of the toy inside. The sturdy box makes it easy to store the toys in. this one came with a divider that makes it convenient storing the eggs and mini dinosaurs in. The instructions give various ways to play with the eggs and dinosaurs. I only wish it had the dinosaur names in them somewhere. This toy is sturdy, strong and made very well. My 2 1/2 year old was able to pull the eggs apart as well as put them together again and yet, the eggs stay together once put together. The dinosaurs were bigger that I thought, which I am grateful for having a 1 year old in house as well. The dinosaurs themselves are made well. The colors are fun and yet distinct enough to tell from one color to the next. We both enjoyed playing with this toy! It gave my son an opportunity to practice counting, sorting, colors, and fine motor skills. I look forward to all the ways we can play with them!

This is an amazing product. I teach first grade and got this product in April. I bought it for the beginning of the next school year. My students were so excited. We went over the ways the game could be used. Then they began to show me how they could be used. They enjoyed comparing odd and even numbers. They could make up their own addition and subtractions word problems and used them for addition and subtraction.

Such a fun activity set!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered the Counting Dino-Sorters, math activity set. It arrived in a strong box and all the pieces were packaged well. The box had a lot of colorful pictures on it. When my kids saw the box they couldn't wait for me to open it! There is so much to do with this set!! The activity guide is filled with lots of great information and ideas. My kids have used these eggs to sort by color and sort by kind of dinosaur. They have played adding and subtracting games with the dinosaurs. They also hide the eggs for each other to find. I just love how this set keeps them so busy. The quality of the dinosaur counters/egg shells is great. They are very durable and the colors of the dinosaurs and the eggs are bright and bold. I would highly recommend this set to everyone. I received this product as part of an incentivized review program.

This dinosaur counting set has so many uses. You can do colors, patterns, plant vs. meat eaters, number recognition and ordering, greater and less than, addition and subtraction activities. The children also use their imagination to play with the dinosaurs, make habitats for them, and act out different scenarios. The dinosaurs and eggs are colorful, sturdy and attractive. I would have liked to have seen a couple extra dinosaurs, maybe just white, in case any dinosaurs get lost. I would definitely recommend this set to friends and family. I received this set as part of an incentivized review program.

Terrific idea and dinosaurs are great quality, but sadly the quality of the eggs let it down. The eggs are a think plastic which dont 'slot' together very well... Also my 2 year old (nor myself!) could get them open very easily without real force!

VERY FUN TO WATCH TEENAGERS INTERACTIVE WITH THE TODDLERS AND BEING VERY PATIENT WITH THEN WHILE THEY COUNTED AND NAME THE COLORS.

Our dino-sorters have just been delivered today and my 3 year old daughter LOVES them. She can count perfectly but was struggling with number rocognition. I have tried all sorts of number toys/games/activities but nothing held her attention for long enough. These dino-sorters she just loved from the minute we opened them and instantly began sorting and counting them into each egg. I am sure we will have so much fun with these. I can tell theyre durable as the quality is second to none. My only critisism is the egss could be a tiny bit bigger for the larger numbers. Other than they they're great and i would definately recommend.
