Q: Do the barn doors open in front?

submitted by Cindy - 2 years ago
  • A: Hello and thank you for your question! The barn doors do not open in front, as the intent is to create a sensory experience by guessing the animal by touch rather than sight. We hope this helps, but please feel free to reach out if you have any more questions.

    Endless amounts of fun

Brought for my son who has autism. This helps to keep his attention and creates joint engagement. He likes the element of surprise and the matching of the animals. He also uses the barn to put other animal figures in to hide them. It is also waterproof as it is plastic so great to use in the bath!

    No, I was very disappointed.

I bought the barn for my just turned two year old granddaughter. Sadly, it had very little play value. More appropriate for 18 months. The doors don't open, and you can't see inside. And the animals are so similar in size, it was uninteresting to her after a few minutes.

    So small

Really surprised at the good reviews. This thing is tiny. Was going to give as a Christmas gift to my one year old but I will be returning. This should be more like $10 for what it is

    My Little Farmer Loves It!

My three year old loves playing Hide-n-Go Moo. She reaches inside the barn and tries to guess the animal by telling us what she feels. SHe also enjoys matching the mommy animal to the baby animal. I like that the pieces are big so I don't have to worry if baby sister gets her hands on anything. Plus it is very durable and definitely built to last.

    Perfect For Toddler's Little Hands

I love how cute this set is. It's the perfect size for my toddler. I love that it's the perfect toy to take with us on the go. All the little animals fit right inside so we only have to carry one toy but get to play with a set.

My daughter really loved play peek-a-boo game and trying to find certain farm animals. She had fun matching farm animals with their sound and their body.

    Excellent for Sensory Skills

The main play is to place the animals inside the barn and use sensory skills to identify each animal by touch. There is a vinyl flap on the top which is easy for little toddler hands to go in and out. It doesn't scratch up Kenzie's hands either. She definitely enjoys hiding her animals in the barn to quickly finding them again. The size of this toy makes it very portable and clean up is a breeze as you just place the animals inside the barn for nap time.

    Great for toddlers!

We love the adorable barn with 4 mommy (or daddy) animals and 4 matching baby animals; horse, cow, duck, and pig (though we'd love to have even more animals). Vinyl flaps over the opening at the top of the barn keep kids from peeking to see what animal they're grabbing out of the barn. This game offers many ways to have fun while learning, such as practicing animal sounds, matching, and big vs little. It also enhances tactile and sensory awareness. It was fun to watch my toddler reach in and show total shock and excitement at what he pulled out. At 2 years old he knows his animals and animal sounds, but it was still fun to encourage him to make the sounds of the animals as they appeared from the barn. I tried getting him to tell me which animal he felt and guess what it was before he pulled it out of the barn, but he wasn't always interested; Being a typical 2-year old, he was willing to cooperate at first when I tried getting him to do things with the animals- like matching up the mommy and baby animals- but after a few minutes he was ready to just play with it all. It's been great for learning play AND free play, and I love knowing he's safe with it because of the larger pieces! *I received this product free of charge to facilitate my review. My thoughts are my own, honest opinions.*
