Description
There's more than hay inside these barns—there's farmyard learning fun! Kids learn counting, color, matching, and sorting skills during every imaginative adventure with the farm friends found within the Peekaboo Learning Farm from Learning Resources. Each of the set's 5 numbered two-piece barns comes in a different vibrant color, including red, orange, blue, green, and purple. Each barn also pops open to reveal 5 different animal finger puppets—meet the set's friendly cow, pig, chicken, and more! Unlike many toys for toddlers, the Peekaboo Learning Farms grows along with your little one—build new fine motor skills during early games of pretend, then move on to early math and color identification! Find the animals during games of hide and seek, make your own memory game, or just let your imagination go! The Peekaboo Learning Farm's two-piece barns also help kids build coordination and other fine motor skills every time they pop them open or snap them shut.

Sadly disappointed in this one. We have other Learning Resources items and they have all been great. The barns feel like a cheap plastic and I don’t see them lasting. The puppets are very heavy and a couple of them are almost too tall to fit inside the barn. The tops don’t sit on correctly unless they’re on exactly right. Frustrating for a toddler who is trying to do something all by themselves.
Terrible paint smell! Not a great toy

Wanted to loved these but really fell short. First, I was appalled at how much these figures REEK of spray paint!! When you open up the little barn houses the smell of the fumes instantly hit you. Insane to give this to a young child! Other than that, I noticed the animals have to be placed into the barns just right for the tops to go on them correctly. The animals ears stick up, and if turned they will hit the barn top and not go on right. Lastly, my child just really wasn’t that into them anyway- which, ended up being ok because I took them away due to the smell. Disappointed overall because we usually love this brand of toys!

Every toddler needs this toy! My son loves opening and finding the animals inside. He can play for 30 minutes + independently. It’s also great for open ended speech development opportunities. We practice “ open” and “ closed” and animal sounds. Loved it so much we bought the polar animals too. There are small holes on the bottom of each animals and they can be utilized as finger puppets.

Says 18+ on the front and then in small font says months right before it. Gave me a good chuckle, those farm animals better have huge boobs if it’s 18+

We received this as a gift and two years ago and the original recipient is now 3.5 and still plays with it and our 16 month old loves it too! There's a lot of different opportunities to play and learn from simply putting the roofs on the boxes, practicing object permanence with the animals inside, making the animal sounds, doing finger puppets, color matching, counting the dots on the barns, playing memory games, and probably even more that I'm leaving off. We love gifting this because we know it grows with the child and can have many uses. Definitely recommend it, even for first birthdays!
So cute!

My 18 month old loves taking lids off and putting back on and has learned all the farm animal sounds so this was the best purchase! He loves them, I used to be a strictly Melissa and Doug girl but learning resources quality is unmatched! These will last through being thrown, stepped on, chewed on and whatever else toddlers love to do.

I love these. I leave the roofs off for now it's too hard for them. My 1 and 2 year old love it. the barns can stack. the animals fit in them. you can even put the animals on your fingers. we practice colors. numbers. animal sounds. putting them in and out. It's a duck. cow. horse.pig.and a mouse I think? at least that's what we are going with.

How about more animals like red chicken, orange cat, black dog, blue bird, white goat. Also have more barns that go up to ten like yellow, brown, white, black and clear one. Make it go up to ten and different animals. Like the song"Old McDonald had a farm", then Saying the names of each animals and the sounds That they make.

I LOVE this Peekaboo Learning Farm. I bought one for my two year old grandson who is deaf, and thought it would provide so many learning opportunities with his LSL therapist. As a speech pathologist, I decided to get one to use in my therapies, as well. It a really nice, sturdy set that will take a lot of play! This will be great for imaginative play, naming animals and making their sounds, naming colors, asking "Wh" questions like "Where is the _?", "Who's in the _ barn?", etc.

I purchased this toy and placed it in my daughter's Easter basket. I know she'll love it because she is very involved with the noises that the farm animals make.
Cute, but some draw-backs

This set is cute, but there are a few downfalls: 1) I feel that the plastic used to make the "barns" is thin (especially the roof section), and I could see them cracking if accidentally dropped, thrown, or stepped on. Also, I feel that the corners are a little sharp and pointy so I would not recommend using this without adult supervision (for younger children, especially if the child is still mouthing toys). I found it strange that the barns were made this way because the animals inside are big, chunky and more rubbery which is appropriate for this age group, so why wouldn't the barns be made of better materials for this age group? 2) There is one animal included in this set (of 5) which is hard to determine what animal it is...I think it's supposed to be a sheep (because in the instruction booklet it talks about introducing animal sounds, such as "a lamb says "baa""), but it has no "curly" markings for fur, that would normally indicate that. To me, it looks more like a mouse, but it doesn't have a tail on it which could also indicate if it's a mouse. It's also more grey in color, which leads me to think it's a mouse. If it is a mouse, then I think this is a strange choice of animal to put in this set of farm animals. It could have been a chicken, a rooster, a sheep, a goat, a dog, a cat, a bunny, an owl, a goose, etc. 3) I'm a speech therapist and was excited to use this with the children that come for therapy, but the two children I presented it to so far (aged 18 months and 2 years) did not play with it for more than a minute or two. It was just boring to them. I think I was more excited than they were! I'm sad to say that I was disappointed in this toy because I thought it was going to be a hit. So, in the end, I think I'm going to have to try using the set with some older children - but the animals look "babyish" for a 3 or 4-year-old, so I may just use the barns for other activities - ex: color sorting activities, or number activities.
Just ok

I wanted to love these and we do love part of them - but not as a set. The 'barns' are now bath cups and the animals are random toys that get carted around the house. They'll definitely withstand harsh use but my toddler had zero interest in playing with the animals in their barns.
Are you ready to teach colors, numbers, and animals?

My son is almost 3, and this peekaboo farm is a bit young for him. He does like playing with the animals though. It is great to teach colors, numbers, animals, and the sounds the animals make. I love that there are some many different ways to use this one product. The product is really durable for any age hands to play with it. I would recommend this product, but to start at a younger age.

This little toy is great! My kids are a little too old for it but I gave it to my almost 2 year old nephew and he loves it! The bright colors are great and the animals are basic ones that are easily recognizable. It's great to start introducing colors and working on gross motor and fine motor skills.

This was a very cute toy..i love the idea of it being educational with the colors and numbers. My two year old seemed to love it for the first five minutes but got bored with it way quicker then i expected and then didnt want anything else to do with it. Maybe if it had ligjts or sounds she would play with them longer.
