Learning Resources Pendulonium Stem Challenge, Engineering Activity Set for Kids Ages 5+

The toy is a great learning resource for students and young children. The toy is very bright and colorful and does come with fun stickers. Overall very easy to build and play with and use. The only downside is that the toy is not very easy to adjust and make the pendulum height change. The product says it is adjustable but, if you make it taller it becomes loose and wobbly. Overall, solid great children’s toy!

This product is a great way to teach children how pendulums work. The toy is very colorful and vibrant and visually appealing. The activity options in the instruction manual were fun to build and test. The only downside was that the pendulum height was not very adjustable it can only change its height by half an inch. When you adjust the height and attempt to make it taller it does become a bit wobbly. Overall pretty great toy!

My 7 year old absolutely had a blast setting up different obstacles and varying the force and direction of the balls to knock them over. It was a simple, easy, and fun way to introduce basic physics and concepts of momentum. As a bonus, my 2 year old played lots of "fetch" and wore the rings as crowns. A total win-win!

I got this for my 7-year-old daughter and it was a hit with her and my 10-year-old son. They started by just building different sets and knocking it down. They had no idea there were actually challenges in the instruction booklet at first but soon discovered them and were excited to tackle the challenges. The set includes everything you need and inspires kids to use items around the house to incorporate. The pieces are very simple and there is nothing to really put together, it is ready to go right out of the box (there are stickers included you can add but not required.) This set surprised me because it is very simple but has kept my kids entertained. I like that the box is a sturdy cardboard one that I can store everything in. It has got my kids thinking about cause and effect and problem solving. Definitely a set to get kids thinking!

I put this together with my 5 year old daughter and 9 year old son and they both loved it and you could see their wheels turning the whole time they were putting it together and afterwards. They both loved it and I also thought it was a great learning experience. Great Product!!!

My 9 and 11 year old daughters had a ball playing with the game while my younger son was less interested. The quality of the parts was excellent. It is made of heavy plastic and seems very durable. There were no instructions on how to assemble the parts, but simply looking at the front of the box was enough to learn what parts went where. The suggested "challenges" for the game proved to be just that - a CHALLENGE. My children tried several times to complete all of the challenges. I heard giggles for over an hour. They even tried coming up with their own challenges. While the youngest lost interest after about twenty minutes, the older children have played with the Pendulonium several times. I would suggest five may be a bit young for this game.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter has had a great time playing with this set. She gets the most enjoyment in setting it up so that the ball rolls and her cat is the one to knock the cones over when he's chasing the ball. She loves it.

Kept my child interested, focussed, really lives up to it's name Pendulonium STEM Challenge. So thankful for receiving this product free from viviewpoints sampling program for my personal opinion/honest review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 6 and 8 year olds love this! They've played with it many times both together and by themselves. There are many possibilities with this, and the directions show several but there are many more. My 6 year old especially likes to use the pendulum to try to bounce the balls off the wall in to the rings. This is a great toy that encourages creativity and there's much that can be done with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] glad i got this product as a sample trial. my son is 5 and was very excited about the ouside of the box and the idea of building things. product inside was well constructed, and good quality- i had to add the stickers (which is fine!) came with a list of about 10 obstacles to set up and try to knock down. my son is very smart and still struggled with the set up, but eventually understood and didnt need my help with setting up each obstacle. it doesnt however tell you how far apart to set (Ex: the pendulum and ball to the tower you will knock over). which would take a few tries and having to do that on each set up got him bored fast. i had him go through about 8 of the obstacle over a few days time, and since then hes not interested in using this activity again. i do feel he is the correct age for this product, but that its just not entertaining enough or fun enough to keep a childs interest for long. so i wouldnt as a parent, purchase this item, which im bummed to admit because i'm pro- educational toys.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This game is unique because it allows my kids to be in charge in a way. They set it up, decide how much power they need, how much distance to use... and experiment with it, It teaches cause and effect, and allows for a lot of creativity. You can set it up just as the directions show, or create your own experiment. There are enough pieces to keep it interesting, but not too many that you lose them or feel overwhelmed. I'd recommend this for a child around 4-6 years old, but my older kids (10 and 8) were entertained by it too. This is a game I will keep in mind for a gift for friends of my kids. I was not aware of the Pendulonium STEM Challenge before participating in this program, but I'm intrigued now.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon receiving this package my son was so excited! It was extremely easy to put together just by following the pictures on the box. I do wish that it came with steps to put together and to put on the stickers but, I just looked on the box to figure it out. No big deal. My son loved looking at the ideas to work the pendulum and those also provoked him to think of his own ideas. My older daughter even joined in on play, helping to create new obstacles. It was a great learning tool and kept them busy for most of the day! Would make a great gift.

Product seems to withstand lots of use and he has fun with it. Comes with puzzle instructions for ideas. The only thing I didn't care for was applying the stickers. They drive me nuts but other than that really easy to assemble.

The design on the toys and the stickers included to decorate it, made this toy very appealing to my kids! Then I showed them the challenge cards! And they were So excited to do these challenges! Very thought provoking and entertaining. It makes you solve problems and keeps your brain working. It's not to easy and not too hard and the many ways to could use it keeps the kids busy and learning for a good amount of time. Overall this is a wonderful educational toy!
