    Counting and color learning

I purchase these products for my grandkids and they enjoy counting and separating them by color or character and we also add and subtract with them. A great learning toy and well made too at a fair price. I have purchased several of their learning products. A fun way to learn for my preschoolers !

    Surprisingly Educational

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set of animals was visually appealing and looked to be of good quality. All the animals were cut smooth and there was no excess plastic hanging off of them (which can be picked off by kids and put in their mouth). And I noticed they were heavier than I thought. It seems they could withstand being chewed on if it were to happen. This will be a great learning tool for my 2 year old for colors, animals, counting, and sequencing. The only con is that they could maybe get boring and forgotten about after a while of use. Maybe. They did have a bit of a smell at first but nothing too awful and it went away quickly.

Great learning toy with many ways to play

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My five year old was excited from the moment he saw the colorful toys in the container. The variety of animals and colors is visually appealing (I personally loved the hamster). Without any instruction, my son began sorting the animals in various ways, pairing them up, and counting them. He continues to use them as we add basic math skills as well. The only negative I had is we were missing a bunny so the sets were uneven, but great toy for math skills and creative play!

    Colors need more contrast

I like these counters for activities for my toddler. Very versatile for color sorting, sorting my animal type, sensory bins etc. only downfall is there isn’t much difference between the orange and red so for a baby / young toddler it’s difficult to distinguish between the two.

    Fun multi use toy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 4 year old loved playing with these. He immediately wanted to sort them and wanted to know other ways to play with them. Working with him, he was able to make patterns and find multiple ways to sort. The only con is that it is a LOT of pieces. My 2 year old was very drawn to the bright colors and always wanted to dump the animals everywhere.

    Bright Fun Way to Learn!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Learning Resources pet counter is a visually stimulating way for kids to get hands-on learning that is only limited by imagination! My 6-year old enjoyed creating patterns, adding, subtracting, and even playing house with the bright, rubbery animals. My 4-year old engaged in sorting, learning colors, counting, and giving the pets fun names. There are enough counters that they could play together or separately and work out a variety of math and problem-solving scenarios without running out of pieces. I loved that the set comes in a sturdy tub for easy storage with a lid that my children can manage on their own for independent access and clean up! The counters are solid enough to withhold lots of play, while also being slightly squeezable for little fingers to easily grip. The rainbow of colors and creative variety of pets make this set a staple at home or perfect for the classroom.
