Birds in a nest
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is good for kids that do not stick things in their mouths, as the birds are smal.

Multi-use toy for little ones!
I bought this for my two 16 month old grandchildren with hopes of beginning color sorting learning. The baby birds are too small for these little ones so I put those away until they are older. But they love placing the bigger birds in the cups, rearranging them and carrying them around. The birds are sort of squishy and the cups are light plastic - everything easy to keep clean. They also put their Little People & toy cars in the cups for fun. Overall I am very pleased with the concept. The color sorting will come in time.

Doesn't keep my daughter's interest
My 3 year old really likes these when she plays with them but unfortunately it's not a toy she reaches for often or plays with for very long, it doesn't seem to keep her interest.

easy to travel with
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After I received these birds and nests I packed them up in a small bag and put it in my car. Since then, I pull the bag out anytime we are somewhere that involves waiting (restaurant, doctor's office, etc.) The other day I needed an oil change and had my two sons (ages 2 and 4.5) with me. We took them inside. My older son helped my younger son sort all the birds into their nest. He talked to him about the colors. They used them in dramatic play, having them fly around to different nests and talk to other birds. When my car was finished they were so engaged that they didn't want to leave. The toys are brightly colored and engaging. The birds are soft and easy to grip. They pack up nicely and don't take up much space at all. The big bird has a hole underneath that's just the right size for a little finger, making the flying bird game pretty fun.

Colorful and bright!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] "Match the mama bird to her baby birds. Sequence colors in rows and patterns to complete. Collect each color and sort them into six nests." Guided play is a pre-school must-have. This sorting set helps imaginations sparkle. Watch the happiness spread across your kids face when they get the pattern right! This toy brings about those little ah-ha moments you'll remember. It's a pop of color for the classroom.

Big Hit at Home & in the Preschool Classroom!
I received this product as part of an incentivized review program, and am really enjoying it. The toy is very versatile for play- it can be used to practice counting, sorting colors, and used in imaginative play. The material of the birds is great for small hands, and my 4 year old son loves that the mama birds can be used as a little finger puppet. I've also used this product in a preschool setting as a backup activity during a unit on color- the students loved sorting the colors into the nests, and then having time to play with them. Great for learning with using their imaginations!

Wanting More
I wish the birds came in one more size or had a stamp on their bellies for some more sorting options. My preschoolers love this activity but it only goes so far, if options like a shape on the belly was added we could sort by multiple attributes and provide more learning opportunities. I did receive this activity as part of an incentive review program and we do like it. Just wish it could go one step further.

Fun and educational toy
We got this toy for our 2.5 year old. She knows her colors and we wanted her to practice sorting. She got it right away and had so much fun sorting the birds into their color appropriate "nests". We had a friend over that was the same age and he did not know his colors. So it was interesting to see him playing with the toy but not grasping the sorting aspect yet. My older daughter who is 5 also had fun playing make believe with the birds.

Excellent sorting toy my 6 year old
My daughter loves this sorting toy. She'll spend hours matching the little baby birds up to their mama's and putting them in correct nests. Sometimes, she'll just create patterns by herself, demonstrating things she's been working on at schools, like color names and simple math. This toy is a great way to make learning fun, and the quality of the material and build is really noticeable.

Fun and durable
My preschoolers were talking about spring when I received this product as part of an incentivized review program. They loved pretending the baby birds were just born and the mama was taking care of them. They would count and sort the birds into the correct nest for mama bird. They liked that mama fit on their finger and they could make her fly to find food. This is a great set for teaching colors, counting, sorting and something about birds. The sturdy nests and brightly colored birds will withstand play by many children in my classroom. I would recommend this toy to friends and family.

Go to toy for work (speech therapist) and home!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great product!! It can be used in so many different ways and targets a variety of skills (sorting, counting, big/little, same/different, colors, etc.). This has quickly become a staple in my therapy bag and my kids love to play with it at home.
