I am very pleased with this desk lamp. It is sturdy and functional. The clamp is strong and holds the assembly solidly in place. The lighting is great, offering different brightness levels through gently touching the controls located conveniently on top of the lamp head. Very handy and natural. The spring loaded arm assembly holds the lamp in position for ease of use. It even has a flip down cover over the magnifying lens to keep dust and particles from clouding the lens and making reading difficult. They have thought or everything. I am very pleased with this purchase.

I use this light at my workbenche and it is more than bright enough , it also works great for looking at slivers so that you can remave them easily.

Decent quality. The positioning springs ma y be a little tight, but that may relax with use.I would definitely recommend this product.

The arm clamps onto a surface easily but you may want to pad it to avoid scarring a nicer table. The lens is clear and large enough that it is easy to work with. I got this for my husband to use while painting miniatures. It makes details much easier to paint. The arm can be adjusted to whatever angle best suits you.

It is also much larger than I was expecting. This is a heavy duty magnifier. My first indication was the weight of the box or I should say two boxes and fully enclosed in two solid pieces of styrofoam if that gives you an indication of the quality and the weight. I guarantee that no matter what you are expecting this will be better, I would expect to pay twice as much. The light is bright and the arm moves smoothly. Setup was a little cumbersome because of the size and weight.

My husband uses a magnifying lamp for various hobbies, including coin collecting and painting figure models. This is the third one he's had in about 15 years and his favorite so far. Right away when he opened the box, he could tell that it was much more solid and heavy duty than his previous two. He appreciates that you can adjust the level of light with the touch of a button. And he says that both the light switch and the arm are super easy to maneuver. Just a gentle touch and the arm swings fluidly where you want it to go. He absolutely loves everything about this lamp and cannot recommend it highly enough.Only one thing he asked me to mention - when he was unpacking it from the box, the lens was not well packed and fell out onto the floor and almost broke. So, careful when you unbox.

I got this lamp for Wife's sewing and crafting table. I have another one of a different brand that I've used at my desk for many years. That one has a donut-shaped flourescent bulb with an on/off switch, while this one has LED bulbs and is infinitely adjustable. The lighting on this lamp is far superior, and adjusts from very low to very bright.The 5 inch, 5 diopter magnifier lens is clear glass, with an additional 12 diopter lens toward the edge at the 12 o'clock position. I'm not sure if anyone makes these with plastic or acrylic lenses, but this is definitely nice glass.I noticed that nobody mentions how much it actually magnified, just Diopters. "Diopter" is actually the amount of curvature of a lens. Long story short, the formula to figure out the 'power' or 'magnification' is -Magnification = Diopter ÷ 4, + 1So this magnifying lamp is 5 ÷ 4 = 1.25, + 1 = 2.25x.The tiny inset 12 diopter lens is 12 ÷ 4 = 3, + 1 = 4x.Hope this helps someone.I like that the lamp can be easily removed from the clamp. That way you're not wrestling to keep it upright while you're trying to mount it, and scarring up your table. You just mount the clamp, and slip the lamp into the hole. Easy peasy.I like that the springs are completely encased in plastic. I've pinched my fingers in the retracting springs of my other model, but this one is completely safe for your kids to handle without pinching.I love that it has a cover for the lens. Sometimes you just want to use the light, and keep the lens from getting dusty and covered with fingerprints. It's super lightweight and flips open roughly 110 degrees, so it's out of your face when you're close to the lens.This has a tremendous reach. Wife's craft table is 40 x 80, and clamped in the middle it reaches the entire table with ease. She uses it daily now for threading needles, cross-stitch, diamond dotz, sewing and quilting, untangling or examining jewelry, reading fine print and serial numbers, and polishing her nails.There are a couple of things that I don't like about this light, for which I'll deduct a star.The first is that there is a small, roughly 12 inch part of the range that this light will just not stay put. It will retract back toward the lamp base, and there is nothing you can do to tighten it to prevent that from happening. Not a big deal.The only other thing I found slightly annoying is that the on/off and dimming switches are super sensitive, and located at the top of the lamp head where you normally grab to move the light around. So every time you go to move the lamp you'll probably unintentionally turn off or adjust the light.Overall, this is a great lamp, and I do like it better than the old flourescent type.Pros -+ Dimmable LED.+ Pinch-free.+ 5" diameter, 5 diopter lens = 2.25x+ 1" diameter, 12 diopter lens = 4x+ Simple to move and re-set.+ Cover keeps lens clean.+ Huge reach.Cons -- Very small section of reach that won't stay put.- Switches actuate if you're anywhere near them.

This magnifier/light is amazing. It's very sturdy and heavy duty. Sets up easily and folds away nicely when not in use. Very satisfied!

I do a lot of highly detailed electronic design and repair. A lot of my electronic tools were stolen so I've been slowly replacing them as I have the opportunity. I ordered this Tangkula 2.25X Magnifying Glass Lamp to replace an older florescent-lit magnifying glass that was lost in the theft.This lamp is solidly built with all-metal construction (the lamp head is plastic but that's to be expected), the lighting excellent without casting shadows, articulation of the arms is quite flexible, and the size of the magnifying glass is larger than I was expecting. Edge distortion of the magnifying glass is very minimal (much less than my older lit magnifying glass). The images on the sales page make the lamp appear smaller than it is.One feature I find very nice is the touch controls. No more contact switches to fail. The touchpad is very responsive. Once you set your desired brightness, the lamp remembers your setting the next time you turn it on.Overall, I'm quite pleased with this lamp. It will see a lot of use over the years and, given its solid design, I expect it will hold up.

This is excellent heavy duty made lamp with adjustable arms and what I like most is the magnifying glass. I am into crafts and just started a new type of craft I have never tried Crystal rhinestone embroidery painting and need a really good light to see the tiny crystals. I'll be using this for other projects to I'm so happy I came across this lamp it's just what I needed. I'm sure this would be great for any tedious type of craft or work that needs good lighting and or magnifying glass, a really good investment.

Nice! It is both a work lamp (with variable brightness!!!) and a magnifier for eyes like mine.Stylish looking, well balanced arm and easy to set up.My only slight complaint is that the horizontal leveling is critical!! If you don't get it perfect, it won't hold still for you. I wound up installing a rubber ring between the base and the arm to give it a bit of friction....Price isn't the cheapest, but quality seems to match...

Happy with lamp. Seems fairly priced and good quality. Like the extra 12d lens in the large one. Light quality is good and it stays in place as it should in various positions.

I bought this lamp and magnifier because I am getting older and need that little extra light and magnification on many of my building projects.This is exactly what I needed. It was easy to mount and I can move it all over my work bench to see everything up close or just put a little direct light on things. I would recommend it as a quality product that does everything they say it can. I always look at every item of whatever I'm buying and this was the best all around by far.Lee F.
