The Jazz Club has a lot of unique details and building techniques that make it both fun to build and to look at. Each floor had something new, and I loved that there wasn't a single sticker in this build. The coloring of the bricks and minifigures in this set is stellar, everything in terms of color looks great. As a musician, the idea of a Jazz club set was beyond exciting, but the payoff was not quite as good as I had hoped. Building the 'floor' part of the first level was not the most exciting building experience, with it being a couple bags of painstakingly laying out lots of tiles. This is my first modular, and I expect that most are this way, but it wasn't a great way to start off. That being said, once you get through that part, the rest of the first level gets a lot better. Small details like the ticket box, the bathroom under the stairs, and the various ingredients and cooking appliances in the kitchen make for a detailed build that doesn't feel too cluttered. The building techniques used for setting the stage, curtains, and entryway were all interesting and made for a fun building experience. It is a little odd that there isn't a bar in a 'Jazz club,' but - since it is a toy company, at the end of the day - that can be excused. I also was disappointed by the lack of detail in the drumset, and that there was no dedicated sax player included in the set. There was a missing piece (which has been a recurring issue in the larger sets I have purchased over the past year) that made it difficult to continue with the build. I have an off color replacement for the time being, but it is disappointing that the quality control in terms of missing pieces has been getting significantly worse recently. It is particularly annoying since, for me, it has happened in sets of higher price points like this one and Rivendell. The second floor was a pleasant build, with the stained glass windows and sewing machine being particular highlights. The choice to have the corner of the office be open above the stage was an odd one, considering that the space wasn't needed and the acoustics would be dismal inside the club as a result (not to mention that the drum sound would funnel directly into the office). It would've been nice to have set up bookshelves, a record cabinet (to go with the player), a fridge, or something else similar with that corner space. The sewing room was also a little empty, but the fabric rolls and sewing machine were fantastic details. The third floor and roof were, in my opinion, the best part of the build. The green room is in the perfect middle of detailing, with enough space for play but without feeling sparse. I was hoping the music notes were an easter egg of sorts but they didn't seem like the beginning of any standard/tune I was familiar with. The roof looks great, with the building techniques used mimicking masonry beautifully. The squirrel was a nice touch as well. The garden is also a nice touch, and while the roof doesn't quite sit as perfectly as I'd like on the greenhouse, it still looks great. Overall, it was worth the price and looks great. Most of my qualms are rather nitpicky, and I would certainly recommend this set. I will likely be making some edits though, and I am still disappointed that a set at this price point would be missing pieces.

If Target doesn’t want to accept returns anymore, it is no longer a viable retail shopping space. I have options and Target is no longer one of them. Customers have rights and you suddenly changing them isn’t going to end well.

This build is a very fun and entertaining build. One thing I have noticed in a few modular buildings is that it is a bit of structure and then a bit of detail, which I think that it keeps me engaged in the build. However, I would say that there could be more figures to watch the show and have pizza, leaving me to add my own figures and there aren't very many play features except from the moped. Overall though, it is an excellent building experience and I would recommend it to others.

This sets good quite cramped in some areas but the worst bit is the stability of the first floor had to take it apart twice and it still kept falling apart.when building it a third time i had to grab some old lego bits i had to reinforce the floor

Thanks for your feedback! We're sorry to hear you had trouble with the stability of the first floor. Building should be fun, not frustrating. If you would like any help troubleshooting your build, please get in touch with us at LEGO.build/Service-BV.

I love all the little details, from a toilet under the stairs, to the tiled floors. Only part way through and looking forward to what tiny details there are on the next floor.

I love the Jazz Club Lego set so much. Every detail and story made the experience so great. The incorporation of the other buildings in the story made me want to immediately buy them retired price and all. I love how easily I can break down the floors to see the other builds and play with the mini figs. I am obsessed with the Modular Buildings Collection and on a hunt for every set from 2007 until the most recent.

Where to start the Jazz club is so full of detail and each room is so well designed and detailed I have paired it up with the Tudor corner and they really complement each other

I really enjoy the modular sets mainly because there is something fun and interesting on every level. I would recommend this set for anyone who is a music lover and a fan of lego. I didn't find this build to be overly complicated. In my opinion very easy to build.

Building this was just an ohhhh & ahhhh moment. The detailing that Lego has thought about in this is mind blowing. It's a shame once it's built, that you don't get to admire the full intricate detail of the insides

Thoroughly enjoyed building this product & I Love the fact that each level is easily separated for view without difficulty after it was fully built. An the added bonus is the ability to connect other builds to it also, next purchase has already been made for the Tudor Corner, so I can't wait to build that now...
