A: because if it had no batterys it would not fuction it is made with technolagy it has a screen inside of it so it works with batterys it needs the batterys for the scanner and the screen the speakers.

Between building this and setting it up in many different ways, my kiddo had a blast! He made his own course and loves to use the app with it so he can see how much coins he got. It has definitely been a daily play in our house.

This is the coolest Lego set I’ve seen yet! The interactive character Lego is so cool! My son carries the characters around on their own and even plays with them as if they’re action figures. Would definitely recommend to any Mama that has a Mario loving boy like me! It’s a bit pricey, which is common for legos, but well worth it!

I like this set but consider adding the paper instructions for little ones. My son is 6y and he doesn’t use a tablet or a phone so I had to download the app so he could put all the parts together; loved his birthday present. Battery runs really fast on the Mario toy.
