Book was a melodramatic snooze-fest. The main character was frustrating and unrelateable, and the story just dragged on and on…

This was entertaining and a pretty easy read, I read through it quickly and liked the ending. But not sure it’s worth the hype. I found the main character sort of unlikeable and unrelatable, very “I’m not like other girls” and robotic. The author clearly has an axe to grind against religion and men that I found distracting and over the top. I can tell she wants you to feel very “female empowerment” reading this but it didn’t do that for me. Outside of that though the story itself was pretty good.

I loved the book. The main character is quirky, but she has the tenacity to stick up for herself and her values. She demonstrated the difficulties women faced in their working careers not all that long ago.

I enjoyed the start of the book but about half way through I found the main character annoying and the storyline dragged on way longer than necessary. I couldn’t want to finish it .
