A: Yes, this system does come with a plastic base that you can fill with either water or sand to keep the unit upright.

A: I can not dunk on any system, but that doesn't mean YOU cannot. This system however, has a classic rim which is fixed and not necessarily designed for dunking. We do not recommend dunking on this one.

A: You could yes, but then you could not ever empty it if need. We recommend filling the base with either sand or water.

Q: I wanted to buy one for my 10 yr old daughter to practice her game (beginner) but don’t know which is which. What are these numbers: 32”, 44”, 48” and 54” represent? The backboard or the height?

A: The different measurements that are listed are for the size of the backboard that comes with the unit. The backboard measurement is the measurement from left to right.

Q: I live in a condo complex, so I will have to move this system in and out of my garage very often. Is it easy to move (by one person)? Also, what is the total height at its shortest setting?

A: The base has a set of wheels that can be used to move the system easily. You will need to tip the system onto the wheels so you may need the help of one other person depending on how strong you are. The total height of the unit when at the lowest height setting measures approximately 9.5'.

Assembly was not as straightforward as I would have liked. The images in the instructions are very small and difficult to decipher if you have declining vision like myself. Also I'm concerned about the connection from the bottom pole to the middle. There's literally one screw holding them together. While there's a bolt going through the center of the middle pole that I assume its purpose is only to keep the top pole from telescoping down to far. Which makes no sense because the backboard would prevent that from happening. Other than that I have no clue the purpose of that bolt.

We apologize about the frustration with the assembly of your new basketball system. There's no reason to be concerned about the connection of the bottom pole to the middle pole as long as you followed step 1.6 in the assembly manual where you seat the poles together. Failure to seat the poles correctly could allow the poles to separate during use. We do have several assembly help options available, including; YouTube video tutorials, the BILT app, as well as our customer service department is always a great resource. Maybe this hoop deserved a five star because it is everything promised. I only have four star because there are nicer hoops out there but of course more expensive. In conclusion this one is excellent for the price.

I bought this item two years ago and we lost a bolt after having to move. Lifetime replaced the parts with no issues and we were able to get the basketball court back up and running for our boys. Love the item, still in great condition after all this time. Great quality and customer service.

This is a very basic hoop and I have no complaints about it. I didn't fill the base 100% and it blew over from high winds several times. The backboard eventually broke, but Lifetime's support replaced the backboard for free even though it was my fault. That's above and beyond.

Not gonna lie- seeing all the reviews about how great customer service is made me hesitant to purchase. I mean, why do so many people have to contact customer service?! Anyhow, the price was great when I bought it as the big Xmas present for my newly-turned 10 year-old. It took him and his dad about an hour, maybe 90 minutes, to put it together. So far, so good! We have really enjoyed playing ball on the driveway and he is definitely getting more outdoor time now. I am glad that I took the plunge and am reassured by all the reviews mentioning a positive experience with customer service. I read reviews like crazy, but don’t usually leave them. I felt I needed to on this one, though. Great purchase.

I purchased this as a birthday gift for my nephew and after assembling it I found a small leak in the base. I contacted Ms Rodriquez in the warranty department and she quickly responded and sent me out a replacement. I will definitely consider purchasing products from Lifetime again in the future.
