  • A: I am answering my own question because I called the company that makes the Litter Genie and Litter Genie Plus today and they clarified that the standard refill DOES work with the Litter Genie Plus. The standard size refill is the refill consumers are supposed to buy for their Litter Genie Plus after the one it comes with runs out. (They don't sell refills made just for the Litter Genie Plus.)

Q: Does anyone know if this fits the PET Genie? ie what looks like the same thing but is meant for dog p**p (I love that Target thinks that word is "inappropriate")... and is no longer sold - at least under that name.

    Cheap bags tear open

    I've been using litter genie for years, but the past two refills I've gotten have had tears that ruin the structural integrity and make them useless. To add insult to injury, I contacted Litter Genie and they requested photos. SO sorry, but my first reaction was to clean the MASSIVE PILE OF USED CAT LITTER in my driveway and not to take a photo. I understand that quality control lapses can happen, but don't make me jump through hoops because your product quality has failed. And after reading up, this is not an isolated incident. They KNOW the problem and don't want to make things right.

    Happy cats!

    I have two cats and very limited space for their 3 cat litter boxes. I scoop everyday to keep them clean and avoid the odour. Litter Genie is literally saves my life from smelly litter and keeps my cats happy!

    Making Life Easier with Amazing Products

    I bought the jumbo refill bags for my litter genie because this way I do not have to change it for awhile. After I scoop the litter I do not smell a thing when it sits in the genie. I take it out when it's full and the bags are so strong, it has never fallen apart from being too heavy. I can't say enough positive things about this system and absolutely love it. I will never go back to not using it.

    As lovers of the Diaper Genie, we were so excited to learn about the Litter Genie! The jumbo refill is perfect for our needs.     Game Changer

    I love the litter genie. It has been a complete game changer for our litter area. I like that it holds the scoop, and once you close the lid there are no remnant smells. I bought the xl refill, and I don't need to worry about it, it lasts forever. One thing I hope to see in the future is a compostable option, which is why I deducted 1 star. . Litter and feces are meant to go in the green bin here, but since these bags aren't compostable, we have to our it all in the garbage

    I love my Litter Genie and bag inserts are one of the things I love the most. They are super easy to setup and install. The bags are strong and hold a good amount of cat litter. The bags definitely help hold in scents as well. I like that there is a black strip that starts showing when you are getting near to running out. These bags are the best.

    This product worked well, my new kitten has been having very smelly bowel movements and this bags contained the smell! It's easy to use and the trash pails come with a handy cutting tool that makes it easy to dispose of. I think it's a great addition to the litter routine.

    Part of a sampling program. Great product. I'm a customer of different litter ginie products. I just tested the Litter ginie refill, The quality is always high and I'm satisfied with the products i get from them. The price for the value is also very good and now im set for months.
