A: The words are not highlighted but it can be paused for the child to read the story. It can be advanced or reversed if they miss a page.

Loved at first
My toddler absolutely loved this product until the sound and the pictures no longer matched after googling and trying to fix it nothing has worked google suggested switching the batteries after my husband went to replace the batteries the screw won’t stay put in the dream machine we loved this and now have a super disappointed toddler

Great story telling, poor quality.
Projector works for a while until continued use degrades the light. Especially when the sound makes the light flicker. And it flickers so much that the light even turns off completely.

Please try replacing the batteries with brand new Duracell or Energizer batteries as we have found that these batteries are stronger power which is required for the machine to function correctly. Love the idea and the product-room for improvement
Our little ones love it. I do wish they had books that lasted more than a minute or too. I also noticed if you get something like paw patrol versus the older books. The stories aren't as good, nor do they last long. We had it for a year now. Noticed more books are coming out. The price overall per the books are decent. We typically wait for a sale. We have to buy a case now for the spare books. I hope they can do other stories sooner and be longer. I know its hard with the projector design. Some of the first books also have poor focus. Have to be a little bit closer to see it. Might just also be a variation in the design. Some newer books could be the same. Not so sure. Overall though they love it. They still cannot read, so it getting blurry sometimes is fine. Would be cool if it could auto focus or stay consistent.

The Story Dream Machine has so much potential and we were so excited to get it for the boys. Unfortunately, you cannot get a clear picture unless you're mere inches away from the wall, which means the picture is very small.

Focus Issues
Got this for our children for Christmas, every time it turns a page we have to refocus the lense. Would be great if that wasn’t a constant issue.

Very disappointing product.
Almost never works. Light flashes red for no reason then just stops playing the videos. We have purchased several video so it’s not the videos - it’s the projector. Very disappointing product.

focus needs work
I believe that the focus needs to be worked on, I should also state how far it reaches because I bought it for a classroom of babies and it didn't work where it was supposed to go and well my grandkids got it, but still the focus is pretty bad

Blurry text
Love the concept, but the text looks blurry no matter how you adjust the focus, and after adjusting, the slides often go out of focus and need to be readjusted. It’s hard on the eyes and defeats the point of being able to read along. This is a quality issue that shouldn’t exist in 2025… it takes vintage to a whole new level (and not in a good way).
