Little Tikes Story Dream Machine

Great, at first. Eventually, several of the story tapes would not rotate or the audio was not synced with the story picture. Liked it otherwise.

Bought 2 one didn’t work out of box, second worked for a day. Garbage

My son loves this! We do too. We read to him every night, but sometimes, as a teacher, my voice is very tired, so it’s nice to have a story or two in addition to our book rotation! I will say that I do have to adjust the focus quite often with certain books. Some books are clearer than others and stay a bit more focused. The best books are the Fraggle ones imo.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son absolutely loves the Little Tikes Story Dream Machine! He takes it with him everywhere—it’s quickly become his favorite toy. I love that it reminds me of the old View Master, but with a fun modern twist. We typically lay with him as he’s watching them and he will watch about two or three before he falls asleep holding it. I love that. It also function as a sound and light machine, but he has yet to use that feature. He prefers just listening to the stories. At just four years old, he’s already figured out how to change the cassettes on his own. He’s a little tinkerer who loves understanding how things work, so he’s always exploring it—and so far, it’s held up beautifully with no issues. We’ve built up a nice collection of stories since we got it and plan to keep adding more as new ones come out. It’s been such a fun and imaginative addition to our home.

Didn't last long, the pictures break in half and sometimes it takes several tries for the story to even load. Horrible product.

I was so excited to get this for my son but after a couple of months the pictures are breaking in half and sometimes it takes few tries for the story to even load up. I’m extremely disappointed because we got so many stories yet we can’t even enjoy them

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to receive the Little Tikes Story Dream Machine Kit and Collections courtesy of Influenster and Little Tikes in exchange for my honest review. My (5) year old has autism and he loves to look at books and pictures. He was immediately drawn to it and it was really easy for him to change out the books. He needed help with adjusting the focus but got the hang of it. The volume can be loud which would make it great if you are traveling and want to bring this on the go. It has the best nostalgic vibes and I wish there were more toys like this as I was equally as excited to look at the story photos and listen along. There’s also a built in night light and you can store (4) books all together but you’ll need a larger storage case as the one provided does not last long term. One of the little action figures kept falling out but all the others were great. Overall I highly recommend this product for anyone, and it would make a great birthday or holiday gift! This is THE perfect addition to your kiddo’s collection and I’ve already expanded my son’s collection because he loves the storytelling element.

I wasn't expecting the picture to show up so well, so I was pleasantly surprised. This is definitely going to be used over and over as a nightine ritual.

I brought this a couple of months ago along with extra books and my children absolutely love it. It’s a great way to spend time with the family and it has become apart of our nightly bedtime routine

Bought for my toddler but we aren't sure whether to love or hate this product. My toddler loves the "movies" as she calls them. The stories are cute and my daughter loves the sesame street stories especially! However there is a terrible grinding like noise when the slides change that scares her! Not sure why it is so loud. If it's messing up or if it's supposed to be loud. If it's supposed to be loud they need to fix this issue!

Mama on a budget and this fit the price. Pros: •There are so many stories to order for toddlers and school age children •The added projector screen that turns on its own is great. I love to set this up for my toddler to watch while going to bed. •Has a handle and storage for 3 stories Cons: • I do wish you could adjust the angle of the lens. Sometimes I need it just a smidge lower or higher and have to set it on top of a book •It does take a good 30-60 seconds for the story to play. My toddler isn't able to figure out how to use it on her own just yet due to the delay.

The colorful lights, classic stories, and sound effects keep my child completely engaged. It’s easy to use, perfect for bedtime, and doubles as a nightlight. It’s very effective when kids start reading letters. Very durable and convenient. Great for home or travel — we love it!

Kids loved this but it stopped working after a few uses. Now every time we put a story in, it starts and doesn’t make it past the first couple of slides. Just flashes red as if there’s some type of error. Disappointing because we just bought a bunch of extra stories for it.

I bought it for my daughter for Christmas and it’s so much fun. We use it for bed time, during the day and she loves it too

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you for the opportunity to get acquainted with this product. I want to mention the cute packaging. Nothing was damaged during the delivery. There was no foreign smell. The age is 3+, but in my opinion it is possible to include younger children. Cute toy design. The toy is versatile and effective. It is convenient that the toy is portable. The volume is good and it's great that it can be adjusted. The quality of the plastic is good, but it's hard for a 4-year-old child to use it on his own, and it's quite difficult to put and pull out the cassette. I also didn't like the fact that there is no way to adjust the tilt, and because of this, the picture can greatly distort if the viewing location is not good. I had to put up a pillow to lift the lens slightly above the base. In general, these are not big disadvantages and the advantages exceed them, so I recommend it! I'm taking off one star, for inconsistency with the description, the Story Baby Shark was not included.
