A: LMNT does not use Himalayan salt, sea salt, or table salt. These are all sources of sodium chloride (salt) and each comes with certain tradeoffs. LMNT’s salt is extracted and produced in Hutchinson, Kansas through an evaporated manufacturing process. Hutchinson, Kansas — or Salt City, as it’s known — is home to salt deposits that were formed about 300 million years ago from a “great inland sea” that has since been covered up with earth. These deposits sit between 500 and 1,000 feet below the Earth’s surface and are regarded as one of the purest salt deposits in the world.

Bear warning to a very salty taste. Wasn’t for me and everyone’s taste buds are different. If you aren’t a fan of a lot of salt, this won’t be for you. I did see its benefits though.

I have one or two of these packs a day depending on my diet and activity level and they greatly help with my overall hydration. I had been having issues with leg cramps and these have helped a ton! My kids have started using them as a hydration supplement in between basketball games as well. Great flavors without all the sugar.
