These rods seem OK, but they come with unacceptable 1 inch screws. The rods I just took down had one and a half inch screws. No way you’re going to mount these into a stud behind drywall with 1 inch screws (a very standard installation method). So beware, if you buy this and won’t/can’t use the anchors you will immediately have to buy longer screws.

I have been trying and trying to get this rod to work since it was already out of the box so I couldn't return it. This rod just will not work. The middle part doesn't stay together, even with plenty of room the two pieces keep finding a way to come apart. The rod is very flimsy also and can't handle more than sheer, lace curtains. Overall, very displeased with this purchase. Not fit for real, useful curtains.

didn't like the way the rod is installed. returned. umbra has another option called the twilight. that is what I thought I was ordering. That style of rod I couldn't rave about more. The mounting style of the darjeeling isn't that great to me

Curtain rod quality isnt bad and looks nice but the instructions are missing vital information. Tells you to use a 1/4 in drill bit for pilot holes but thats assuming you use the included dry wall anchors, which are not required for screwing into a stud, the instructions do note that anchors may not be necessary with pictures showing as such but they do NOT tell you what drill bit to use to pilot just the screws without the anchors. We tried to guess but the holes were too big and we had redrill with the size for the anchors and used those even though we were in a stud.

The issue with this curtain rod is the hardware - the screws do not hold up. I installed 3 rods in the morning and by evening the screws were stripping out of the wall. My curtain panels are not heavy either. So now i'm left patching my walls and painting.

The solid curved end piece broke off after less than 1 year of hanging. Part of it remained attached to the wall. Considering it was in my child’s room it could have hurt him but thankfully it didn’t. Had to remove the whole curtain rod and throw it away.

So far so good. We hung it tonight. Seems to hold the weight of the curtains well. I was very surprised when I picked it up. It’s so light! I wondered if it could really be that good of a product. I bought 2 for two walls of a bedroom with windows. The rod is sturdy adjustable and easy to use and fits close to the wall and windows in the sunny room. I asked a handyman who is a son to install on the wood trim above the windows in this 100 yr old home. When sunny hot weather in Missouri returns it will be very beneficial for reducing the level of heat that would be beating down in the afternoons from the west.
