A: Bobc: We do not recommend omitting installation of the center support bracket for a span of 80 inches wide or more, as the weight of the curtains can cause the rod to sag in the middle and make it unsafe. A: Rob: The most efficient way to remove curtains from an installed 66"-120" blackout rod is: 1) Loosen the set screw on the center bracket 2) While supporting one of outer rods, slide it away from the center bracket to create a gap large enough to remove curtains 3) Repeat for curtains on the other side of the center bracket We hope this helps! Shay: The nail-in bracket installation option offered with our Blackout Rounded Curtain Rod will support weight loads under 15 lbs; for weight loads over 15 lbs, the screw=in bracket installation should be used. For the nail-in bracket installation, please ensure that 3 nails are installed for each bracket, so that the rod in securely mounted to the wall.

Really nice design — looks classic and sleek. If you are extending it to its full length and using blackout curtains, you will need an extra support in the middle. As this is marketed as a blackout curtain rod, it’d be nice if the third support was included. The rod is pretty wide, so I had to order something online that matched pretty well. Otherwise, the provided hardware is study and it’s easy to install.

Nice, but even though I bought two of these at the same time from the same store, the color of them are a bit off. One is more muted and the other more shiny. When you have them together it’s very obvious, but we kept them and put them up as we needed something and with them up it’s not so noticeable as they’re across the room from each other.
