A: Jess: Our Blackout Rounded Curtain Rod can support the stated weights using the following installation methods: (1) 20 pounds when using anchors and screws into drywall; (2) 30 pounds when installed using screws into wood studs. Nightmare to install
This is a NIGHTMARE to install. They don’t tell you how much space you need between the ceiling and anchor to slip the rod onto. Also, one slid on, and one didn’t. Don’t know why. They all seem to be the same.

Pretty but Stressy
It looks great! & seems to be holding up ok. However the instructions were TERRIBLE. One mount was a different size but that was never indicated so we had to redo the whole thing about halfway through. Also pieces weren’t labeled with stickers or anything so it got confusing. Finally, the suggested drill bit size was WAY too small for the wall anchors - we just weren’t able to use them. So, not sure the hassle of putting together this product is worth how good they look.

Dont waste your money or time
These were not user friendly. Advertised as easy to set up but required three people- one on the ladder holding in place with the level, one spotter, and a third person on a step stool hammering the nails in. 24 hours after installing this it came right out and ripped a chunk out of the wall with it- the nails it comes with are very thin and the brackets the bar slides down onto are cheap plastic and can’t bear the weight of the bar and the curtains.

Do not buy this. Like the other reviews state the hardware to install the brackets is inconsistently made, one might go on flawlessly and the next won’t go on at all or will get stuck half way and you won’t be able to get it on or off. Definitely don’t buy them and especially don’t buy them if you’re 9 months pregnant because they will drive you to your emotional breaking point.

Poor Hardware
I had a terrible experience with these curtain rods. I bought them to hang blackout curtains in my toddler son's room. The first time I tried to hang them I used the included plastic anchors. They were so large that they started spinning immediately after I tapped them in and I was unable to use them. As other customers mentioned, this left huge holes in my wall. I then had to go purchase toggle anchors to try to re-hang the curtains, but as other users have said it is very difficult to get these perfectly level and if they are not it is nearly impossible to get the rod on. I loved the look of these but after making endless holes in my walls I am going to have to give up and try a different rod.

I own 5 Target curtain rods that I love but this was the first rounded one I’ve bought. I started working nights and needed that full blackout effect which it does great at! I really like the rod, it’s beautiful and functions well. However, lost a couple stars because the mounting is pretty awful. They come with plastic clips you screw to the wall then slide the rod over/on them. Sounds simple but if you get the clips even slightly crooked or uneven, the rod won’t slide on well and you end up putting more holes in you wall to fix it, or eventually get so frustrated you say screw it no one will look that close at my curtain rod and just force it on as much as you can then call it a day. I used a tape measure and a level, all the normal things & this is far from my first install - I much prefer the old fashioned easy brackets.

Great Rod Bad Hardware
Great product but wrong mounting hardware caused a huge hole in my wall! I bought and mounted 2 of these previously and they were so easy! It’s been a couple of years and I decided to purchase a third one. The directions were different this time and the included wall anchors are huuuuuge. I followed the directions and ended up with a huge hole in my wall, due to the wall anchors being massive. I ended up using 1 screw and 2 nails, here’s to hoping it doesn’t fall down. For real though, check your included hardware because you might not end up with the right one either.

Great rods but hardware incorrect
I purchased these before with no issues so I made a repeat purchase for some new curtains for my home. I purchased the 66-120" (2 of them) and the hardware inside is for the shorter curtain rods, therefore I'm missing 2 brackets. Both boxes have the incorrect hardware. I've emailed the CS email but a huge inconvenience to have to wait for a reply to proceed with my home project. I was preparing to hang this weekend!

DO NOT BUY!!!
Please save yourself time, energy and damage to your walls. These rods are supposedly designed to make installation easy, but it was exactly the opposite. The end of the rod is supposed to slide over a plastic piece that is screwed or nailed into the wall, however the plastic piece is poorly designed and too thick so as soon as it’s attached to the wall, the piece doesn’t smoothly glide over. One side got wedged on so badly that I called Target to ask for a refund without returning the item and thankfully with pictures and proof they did. In order to get the piece removed from the wall, my husband and I had to pry it off the wall which majorly dented the wall causing another headache. We are extremely handy people, so this was not an installation error but a design fault in the product. Save yourself time and do not buy these!
