I own 5 Target curtain rods that I love but this was the first rounded one I’ve bought. I started working nights and needed that full blackout effect which it does great at! I really like the rod, it’s beautiful and functions well. However, lost a couple stars because the mounting is pretty awful. They come with plastic clips you screw to the wall then slide the rod over/on them. Sounds simple but if you get the clips even slightly crooked or uneven, the rod won’t slide on well and you end up putting more holes in you wall to fix it, or eventually get so frustrated you say screw it no one will look that close at my curtain rod and just force it on as much as you can then call it a day. I used a tape measure and a level, all the normal things & this is far from my first install - I much prefer the old fashioned easy brackets.

Great Rod Bad Hardware
Great product but wrong mounting hardware caused a huge hole in my wall! I bought and mounted 2 of these previously and they were so easy! It’s been a couple of years and I decided to purchase a third one. The directions were different this time and the included wall anchors are huuuuuge. I followed the directions and ended up with a huge hole in my wall, due to the wall anchors being massive. I ended up using 1 screw and 2 nails, here’s to hoping it doesn’t fall down. For real though, check your included hardware because you might not end up with the right one either.

Great rods but hardware incorrect
I purchased these before with no issues so I made a repeat purchase for some new curtains for my home. I purchased the 66-120" (2 of them) and the hardware inside is for the shorter curtain rods, therefore I'm missing 2 brackets. Both boxes have the incorrect hardware. I've emailed the CS email but a huge inconvenience to have to wait for a reply to proceed with my home project. I was preparing to hang this weekend!

DO NOT BUY!!!
Please save yourself time, energy and damage to your walls. These rods are supposedly designed to make installation easy, but it was exactly the opposite. The end of the rod is supposed to slide over a plastic piece that is screwed or nailed into the wall, however the plastic piece is poorly designed and too thick so as soon as it’s attached to the wall, the piece doesn’t smoothly glide over. One side got wedged on so badly that I called Target to ask for a refund without returning the item and thankfully with pictures and proof they did. In order to get the piece removed from the wall, my husband and I had to pry it off the wall which majorly dented the wall causing another headache. We are extremely handy people, so this was not an installation error but a design fault in the product. Save yourself time and do not buy these!

Absolutely NOT!
I really wanted to like this. The hardware that you mount to the wall is plastic… the screws that come with it almost seem to short as the plastic mounting plates are not “snug” as the directions say. Also, due to mounting a rod and heavy blackout curtains, the PLASTIC CHEAP mounting plates basically just rips out of the wall.. regardless if you use a stud finder. This ruined the wall in our BRAND NEW HOUSE.

It is important that the instructions be followed when installing the wall anchors. As with any rod set, wall anchors are needed in order to insure the mounting plate stays in place when installing with a screw. The styrene wall plate is intentionally designed in the material it is in order to provide flexibility with the mounting for non-even walls. We would be happy to send new wall anchors if you wish to reach out again.
