Astro A50 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Headset + Base Station (Gen 5) for Xbox - Black: Adjustable Headband, Built-In Microphone, Multi-Pairing

I've never been the one to go after the best headphones out there since I consider myself a pretty average gamer. I've been using Turtle Beach wireless 600 series since I started gaming about 10 years ago and never bothered considering other brands once it was time for a new set. I looked into these since they were recommended by a friend and the price tag was a bit intimidating but I decided to try them and the results were outstanding. The sound quality was pretty insane, the capabilities of these headphones far surpass just gaming. I love that I can play music from my phone while also playing my game at the same time. While also being in a party chat. Very comfortable and easy to set up. I didn't even consider returning them. Worth the investment if you're in the market for a new headset.

I love this headset. I had an Astro A30 headset before and just wanted to upgrade and this was definitely an upgrade. The material feels super premium and is extremely comfortable. I’ve had several 4+ hour gaming sessions and had no fatigue from the headset and no headaches. 10/10 would recommend!

I got to say that I was pretty excited when I got these headphones since I was needing some better over the head ones! I can’t wait to keep using these! Shipping & Handling: The headphones came in great shape, no problems, and the box wasn’t damaged at all. Opening the packaging: This was a great experience, and the headphones looked so pristine since they were still new. They also looked comfortable. I can’t wait to try them on! Putting them on the stand: It’s such an easy movement, just place the headphones on the stand, and voila! It snaps right on and stays there! It’s kind of fun to keep snapping it on. Trying them on: Oh my… so comfortable! It’s like a cloud is resting on my head, a little pressure is there, but it’s a really comfortable material! The top cushion can get a little annoying for the top of my head, but not enough to stop using them. The buttons: The on/off button is easy to flip on and off, like a switch. The switch platforms button is just a press down button, easy. The Bluetooth button is also just a push down button. And the volume button is a scroller, which scrolls smoothly. I really like the volume scroller, it’s different from what I’ve seen. There are voice and game buttons on the side. The hearing test: Very nice, can hear things without it being too loud. There’s a beep sound when it reaches the full volume. Not the loudest, more soft kind of loud, so if you’re the blaring music kind of person I wouldn’t recommend these. The speaking test: Had the mic set towards my mouth, nice that it’s flexible by the way (but wish it could go closer to the mouth), but it didn’t catch 100% of my words correctly, and I had to speak louder than I usually do for speech to text. I’ll keep testing this out. Mic worked really well for talking on messenger. Using with phone: You can use the Bluetooth mode with a phone, but you have to have the base set up, and it plugged in with the PC cord. I don't usually have it set up with the cord all the time, so it can be a bit much to have to plug it in everytime to use it. Especially since the cord is bulky. Overall: I really like the buttons on the headphones, how easy it is to switch between platforms & turn on bluetooth, the base station, how the mic works for talking on messenger, and how comfortable the headphones are. I'm indifferent about the softness of the sound from the headphones, the top cushion on the headphones & the pressure, and the way the mic is flexible but not flexible enough to move close enough to my mouth. And I don't like how I have to speak louder for the mic to hear me for speech to text. All in all, some good headphones with a few flaws, but not enough to make me not use them. I'll be seeing how they work over time.

I'm so happy a friend of mine talked me into buying these. I plan on purchasing more products in the future.

Lose Bluetooth connectivity all the time, while connected to the PS5

I love how simple switching between the audio sources is and the headset is both great in build quality and sound quality as well as comfortability.

Amazing sound. Very happy with build quality and fit.

Easy to set up. Excellent sound clarity. Convenient charge dock and Bluetooth connectivity for cell phone. Very comfortable with almost no fatigue at all from wearing it. The only thing left to be seen is how durable it is.

The hearing goes in and out which is so disappointing

The loss in about 8 hours of battery life for these A50 (about 10 hours from full charge) from the A50X (about 18 hours from full charge), is the only reason the rating isn't 5 stars. I swapped because I'm on PC now, so the extra console features weren't needed. No reviews talked about the battery life difference though. I am quite disappointed to have to plug my headset in for my weekend gaming binges now.

This is, hands-down, the best quality headset I have ever purchased! It is well worth the money

Kind of sucks that you can’t use the Bluetooth without the base

This would be a great headset if it wasn’t for the microphone boom arm being loose after only a weeks use. It no longer retains its position, and moving the wrong way drops the microphone down. I’d return this if I kept the original packaging. The fix involves pulling the padding off, and tightening the boom arm screw. The sound/mic quality is fine… no complaints there. I replaced the ear cuffs (like I do for all headsets) with ones from wc for a better fit/less airy sounding.

These headphones are over priced and not what they used to be. They are made with cheap materials and are flimsy. The ear cups are so hot and make the headphones sound terrible unless you order aftermarket gel cups that help "trap" the sound... I am so disappointed with the quality of every aspect of these headphones.

I initially bought Logitech Pro X 2's they fit great sound was not good. Sent them back and bought the A50's love the sound. The fit is not as good as the X 2's but they are not uncomfortable.
