A: The veneer top is durable as long as you take care of it appropriately. It wipes up easily and I make sure to keep it dry, as it is a veneer. Overall I love this desk!

A: Be VERY careful about putting anything wet on the surface. It was start to buckle. I put a damp glass on the surface and it left a raised ring on the surface.

A: easy assembly tool 20 minutes

A: It's very easy to assemble. You attach the metal legs and stand part to the already assembled desk/drawer area. Probably took me less than 10 minutes to fully assemble.

A: Very little skill necessary. The entire top/wood part comes already assembled, all you have to do is attach the legs with the screws included. You can do this manually with a screwdriver, but I used a power drill and it was much faster!

A: The desk body itself is pre-built, even the drawers. You only need to assemble the metal frame and place the desk on top. Took us 15 minutes start to finish and that includes cleaning up the packing materials. We used a drill instead of the allen key.

A: No. Once you place the receptacle end of the extension into the desk the plug end hangs out the bottom. There is no way to store it or put it back into the extension cubby.
