The Dark Moon that hangs over Evershade Valley seems to have a calming effect on the ghosts that reside there. The quirky Professor E. Gadd has been studying the friendly spirits. But when the Dark Moon suddenly breaks apart and falls into the valley below, the once-friendly ghosts become hostile. Luigi must stumble into action and summon his courage to restore the Dark Moon to its rightful place in the sky.
Tackle the ScareScraper together
You and up to three players can team up to take on the challenges of the ScareScraper, a haunted building teeming with ghosts and challenges not found in the main adventure. Recruit your fellow ghost hunters to scale the terrifying tower locally* or online**.

Q: How many players can play the story mode ?

A: It's 1 player only. There is no way for 2 people to play on the same switch. Also, the game pretty much blows chunks. SKIP IT! 0/10 do not recommend.
submitted byRug Regrest - 1 year agoA: This game serves as a single-player story game (having been ported from the 3DS). However, there are multiple options for multiplayer with local or online play. Although, co-op is only featured in this game’s sequel (Luigi’s Mansion 3)

Yes, graphics are great but a couple negatives...no 2 player mode in the main game and it only saves progress at the end of levels. So, you died in level 2-2...back to the start of level 2. Not cool.

So much fun, so clever!
I wasn't playing video games when this first came out twenty years (or so) ago, and it's been updated and adapted beautifully for the switch. The puzzles are fun, the jokes are clever. We had a lot of fun with this one!

Fine But Glitchy
I still enjoy the game so for that I will give it three stars, but I’m really struggling to give it that. I haven’t even gotten halfway through the second location and I’ve had major glitches. One in which I complete the entire level and then have to restart due to either not being brought back after completing the mission. This has happened at least twice so far, amongst other issues in which I complete the things required, but the button doesn’t appear to let me investigate what I need to have the ghost appear and so forth. Just beware. It’s extremely aggravating and unfortunate.

Literally on the line with nintendo now seeing how I can return this aboslutely GARBAGE waste of a game, since Target won't return open video games. NINTENDO!!! WHy on EARTH would you remove the 2 player ability!? My husband and I were SOOOo excited to play this game together..... only to find out you CAN't!? Not to mention the game play itself is just.... boring and tedious. Biggest disappointment ever. Absolute garbage. 0/10 cannot recommend.
