It has a gritty feel on the sides and that has a nice grip on it too. I especially like how it’s not super heavy as I’m not a very experienced player and this one will be perfect for me. I will note that it does not come with a ball or anything else. It is simply one paddle, but still very nicely made. I received an incentive to write this review.

The leather grip is very comfortable and feels great even after playing for awhile. I’m a beginner pickleball player and was just using a cheap Amazon paddle to begin. As a 35 year old male anticipating getting dominated by people I talk to in their 60-70s that play daily. There are so many images available, but you can never go wrong with the classic of blue. Best used on tennis courts, but also on paved roads. It has a very good hand grip on it combined with a firm inside allowing for optimal hit during a heated match. I love the truly artistic design with a navy blue back to stand out. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First thing I noticed right out of the box was how sweet the graphics were. The image genuinely looks like a sun, and has super vibrant colors. It should make a nice distraction with the reverse side being all blue with Luzz on it. All my spins come from what I've mastered from ping pong, and have transitioned into pickleball. I can assure you this paddle will give you tons of spin. It's sandblasted surface feels like fine sandpaper from the garage. The stock grip is nothing I could improve on aftermarket. I'm used to playing with really inexpensive/low quality paddles, which are a little more clunky feeling so this definitely seems way more legit. I think my only concern is with the handle and border being white. I could see it quickly, looking dirty, or dinged up, especially with how often I occasionally scrape the court .
