Love all of my LG Equipment; kitchen and electronics :). I am little baffled as to why I am receiving mixed answers as to why I need to buy both a new soundbar and Sub when only the Sub stopped working :(

Not only did the sound enhance, but the power is the soundbar and sub has is outstanding. The setup was simple and easy, as well as configuring the sound features. I have recommended this to serveral friends and a few own them now. Outstanding product!

I got this ad a gift. After 8 months of use the subwoofer stopped working. I called LG and the person who answer my call was great and send a return label for I send the product back for repairs. Now looking forward to receive back with the issue solved.

After a few months my subwoofer started to randomly disconnect for a few seconds, and now it has completely shut off, and I need to reboot the entire system before it starts working again. Is there a way to fix the subwoofer issue? I really love the design and the sound output, but I can't live with it not working..

No matter where I place the wireless subwoofer, it randomly disconnects and you get no bass sound. It’s frustrating because when it DOES work, it sounds great.

Brought the SN8YG in early 2021, and right out of the box, I was impressed. I have the bar in my movie room, which is approximately 13 wide and 30 long, with a 8ft ceiling. The SNY8G system easily fills the room with satisfying audio and provides a cinematic experience! I don’t have the rear speakers and this system sounds great without them, it must be awesome with the rears added. Tragedy, struck earlier in December 2022, and my sub failed. I contemplated getting another system with a more traditional setup with tower speakers, a receiver etc.; however, I frankly did not want all that equipment in my space as well as pay an exorbitant cost to get the equipment. The SN8YG is a great system that I did not want to discard, so I called LG and they assisted with a repair of my sub woofer, and my system is back thumbing and rumbling again! So, if you want a small system, with a big sound, get the SN8YG you will not be disappointed!

Great sound, deep base, fills a small / med room with standard ceiling height. Subwoofer disconnects sometimes but comes back on a few seconds later. Offers google assistant but I did not choose to set that up.

It was past the 1 year warranty, however we did take out the Geek Squad 4 year protection plan. This review is prompted by taking it in for service ??? Great product as long as it works

Bought the LG SN8YG sound bar around a year back. The presence of up-firing speakers in this model did impress me. Dolby Atmos content from Netflix did sound good so wanted to get the rear speakers for an enhanced experience. That's when I got stuck, there are no compatible rear speakers available from LG for its sound bars. Though its available in the US market but not in India. I would be very keen to get those rear kit but there is absolutely NO information on this. Now feeling deceived on buying this product.

I bought this Soundbar, As advertised i thought we can add the rear speakers set. Later came to know SPK8S is not available in India. Whereas all LG competitors such as Samsung Sonos are already providing dolby atmos soundbars with an option of TOP FIRING REAR SPEAK KIT. In India, when we will get the TOP FIRING REAR SPEAKER ADDITIONAL KIT to enjoy holistic dolby atmos effect? Please clarify

Sub never properly worked. Always cut in and out, hundreds of reviews had this problem and no fixes. Then 15 months after cutting in and out continues the sub just disconnected and never repaired. Nothing has worked to this point. This is a rip off and it never worked properly.

Bad Sub Woofer

I purchased this unit 15 months ago, everything seem to be working fine until one day the sub woofer would not power on and quit working all together. The unit only comes with a one year warranty. LG would not fix the sub woofer out of warranty and I have had to purchase the parts to fix the unit my self.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought LG86UN85 86" TV at 11/2020, It was so fantastic that all family love it and half a year later someone introduced me LG SN8YG sound bar, we bought it without hesitation because of LG's brand. Consequently Its superb quality of sound delivered overwhelmed the family again. We pretty much enjoy its crisp sound effect at all musical circumstances plus I live its slender sound bar design and large subwoofer as well.

My subwoofer just stopped working (no power) after 14 months. Since I cannot find subwoofer in stores anymore, I am stuck with this awful soundbar in my living room.
