A: Hi. Thanks for reaching out to us. Please note that ovens vary adjust cooking times as needed. Here are some of the directions for Marie Callenders Dutch Apple Pie. 1 preheat oven to 400°f. Remove plastic wrapper from pie. Set crumb topping aside on counter. 2 bake pie on baking sheet in center of oven 60 to 65 minutes.3 remove pie from oven on baking sheet. Never lift pie pan by the edges. Crumble topping while still in the bag to desired crumb size. Sprinkle onto pie starting at edge and working towards center. Use a fork to evenly distribute crumbs. Meh.
3.5 to 4. The crust is very good, apples are swimming in a sugared sauce, the filling consistency is disappointing. It does not look like the photo.

Where do they get off even calling this apple pie? There were 3 apple slices and a whole lot of gel goop! There were most horrendous pie I’ve ever had. I could not even serve that it was humiliating!

Quality control.
I recently bought a dutch apple pie. The box was in perfect shape but when I took the pie out of the box the side of the pie tin was dented and all the crust in that area was broken off. I was taking this to a friend's home so had to cook it anyway. All the juices came out the side or went under the crust. It was a mess. The pie tasted good but it was embarassing to bring it to someone elses home.

Why did you change your recipe?
This is the only apple pie I buy. It used to be delicious. Crust is not flaky anymore, less apples, filling is gloopy. It doesn’t have any flavor. It left a slimy film in my mouth. So disappointed. The size seems smaller too. You ruined a good thing.

Better than from the store bakery.
Easy to bake and tastes better than the normal store bought pies. I love the smell of a baking pie, but not the time it takes to make from scratch. Marie Callender makes a great product at a reasonable price.

Not your Grandma's Apple Pie
This is definitely NOT your Grandma's apple pie...it's worse. This pie has no flavor. It's very bland. The crumble onto is bland too. When it was baking, I could smell Cinnamon, but tasting it after it baked, I wondered where the Cinnamon smell came from 'cause I couldn't taste any Cinnamon or any spice for tht matter.

Dutch SAUCE Pie
The only fruit pie, I like is apple pie… And I was craving a Marie Callender Dutch apple pie! However, I was very disappointed. First, the filling bubbled over during baking. That has never happened before, but I thought it was some thing that I did wrong. When I cut into my first slice the pie deflated. There was so much of the sauce part of the filling and so few apples. I quickly realized that the recipe had been changed!… they have taken the perfect frozen apple pie and turned it into what tastes not much better than one of those little pies from a fast food place.

Why change a good thing?
Over the years the Dutch Apple Pie has been my absolute favorite…until you changed the recipe and the size. I am so disappointed that I cannot eat this desert and will be searching your competition for a replacement or take up baking my own again. The flavor just is not good anymore.
