The texture is hard to describe, but it reminds me of pureology strength cure because of how concentrated it feels. I would say emulsifying is pretty important with this product, I have fine hair, andnit doesnt weight my hair down and i love how hydrating it feels without making it feel oily but I guess I could see others having issues with that.

I love this! Definitely makes my hair super soft and moisturized without the weird texture heavy feeling. Also the shampoo I use with nexxus conditioner and it is amazing! 10/10 buy. Also it makes my hair way easier to detangle and run my brush through = less hair breakage/loss.

The scent is ok. It's a pretty strong citrus smell, but doesn't linger too long. Overall I didn't like this. I used the whole bottle. Didn't help with breakage. I still saw hair fall while using. Not very moisturizing, my hair felt dry and tangled. My scalp was itchy and I could feel small bumps. Not for sensitive skin. Also a bit pricy for what you get. I would not use again.

I purchased for my daughter for her damaged hair from using the wrong styling tools. Her hair was so soft after the first wash, I had to try it. My hair was weightless, so soft and looked visibly smoother and healthier!

I have SUPER damaged hair from being processed and I've tried so many shampoos and conditioners but none seemed to help my ridiculously dry hair. This stuff works!! I noticed a difference after the first wash! I will stick with this product. Love Matrix!

I love the food for soft products so I thought I'd try this but i HATED it. I used it two different times but both times my hair felt abcs looked greasy and there was a sticky build up on the top of my head.

I got this shampoo thinking it would help my color last- instead it stripped my tomer. I have brown hair wirh blonde highlights and all my blonde turned brassy after 2 washes. I noticed it and my hairdresser immediately retoned me. Not thinking I used it again and sure enough there the brass was again. Ive gifted it to my mother in law hoping she has better luck.

I have been raving about this shampoo since I first used it. I get routine blonding done and my hair is always dry and frizzy if I don't tame is with products and blow dry it. I can never just let it air dry or it will look horrid. First impression. It doesn't smell nice, it doesn't smell bad either but the smell is more chemical. The shampoo is very thick and lathers well. I did also pair it with the matching conditioner. I can just brush my hair after washing it and let it air dry and my hair looks fabulous. It's so soft and shiny. it looks and feels so healthy. I was shocked. My hair does in fact look 70% better. I scoffed at the statement when I read it but they're not kidding. I was previously using Redkin Super Soft and this out performed it by leagues. Im obsessed with this product.

Just got this and tried for the first time. First thing - the smell...it smells like developer. Then I read the back of the bottle (I purchased it online ) ..it says possible sun burn and to use protective clothing ....ummm ...So returning

Wow is all I have to say. This stuff turnee my dry, unruly, overdue for a haircut, hard to brush hair into smooth like butter after one use. Will be purchasing this with the conditioner again.

The product made my hair more dry, listen i love MATRIX their products are affordable but this shampoo was not it for me . I usually stick with food for soft and original insta cure stick to those dont change it up.

I have colored hair with hi-lights and this shampoo has made my hair so unbelievably dry. This is the worst shampoo by matrix I've ever used. I wish they would return the unbreak my blonde.

I've been a fan of Matrix products for the past few years. Even when i try other brands, I always go back to Matrix. Food for Soft is my favorite line-I look for shampoo and deep conditioners that help with frizz, shine and softness and thats what that line has always provided help with. Ive been using the new Instacure and love it. It seems to produce even better results than the Food for Soft which i was already satisfied and pleased with when it came to the areas i struggle with, ESPECIALLY frizz. Definitely will stick with Instacure for a while until they come out with a new line to try.
