Beautiful car with tons of great details such as the car’s dashboard and steering wheel that controls the front wheels. The extra set of rims and the smaller model car are also great additions to an already wonderful set.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The MEGA™ Hot Wheels® Mercedes-Benz 300 SL is fun to build and a great display piece. With 1600 pieces, this building set is great for people who love building blocks. The details of this build are really neat. The engine pops open with the push of a button inside the vehicle. The steering wheels actually turn the front wheels of the car. The trunk even includes a spare tire. Even though this says for 17+, my 11 year old had a ton of fun building this. The instruction book is rather large but to be expected with the level of detail this build offers.

I choose to build this set with my teenaged daughter as a bonding time to which I shared with my dad back in my day working on cars in his garage. Instead of getting yelled at to pass a wrench I watched my daughter take the lead on building this project. The quality and details of the Brick Shop surpasses the competition in the brick building sets out there today. The bricks snapped together with precision and ease. With hoses and tubes that mimic the real car’s engine and mechanical parts that work together to function as a car should, this building set came together with pure enjoyment. The end result of Mattel’s brick shop set was a beautiful show piece that we’ll proudly display on a shelf. I loved everything that this set offered. From the precise details of the 300sl to the metal parts that enhanced the car and even the smaller Hot Wheels die cast Mercedes that could be displayed on its own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great build with easy to follow directions -took one long afternoon to complete and came with extra pieces if you want to make the car into a racing style with decals. I didn’t put the decals on it as I wanted the classic car look for my display but overall very happy with this set and the bonus small scale car that came with it! All the bags were clearly labeled and it was a relaxing afternoon with an awesome car build! Would recommend to brick builders!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toy is great for anyone who loves cars and likes to build. I like how it's a mix of hot wheels and brick building. Great line extension. With 1600 pieces it will take some time to put together. The learning gained through the process is immense. You will learn about how cars work, math, instructions, how to build things. These kinds of toys are wonderful.

EXTREMELLY TERRIBLE BUILD. Firstly the build is super boring at the start - they have you build a lot of plates before getting to the exciting car exterior. The car starts to fall apart before I even complete the build, and I have no idea where are the pieces falling from. Each time I grab it, SOMETHING FALLS of - the doors, the trunk or random decorative pieces. Can't even display it as it looks terrible.

The design really captures the classic 300 SL look — especially the iconic gullwing doors and silver detailing. The build was fun and moderately challenging, which makes it great for both teens and adult collectors.The pieces fit together nicely, and the final model looks very premium on display. The instructions were clear, though a couple of small parts required extra patience. Once completed, it feels sturdy and looks almost like a die-cast model rather than a brick build.

Everytime you put some bricks together other fall apart. I build legos all the time but this is not the same and will not stay together. I know another person building the same one and is having the same problems so i know it is not me. My husband brought me the super glue.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a fun brick building kit! Not only is it fun, it is a big kit. Our family is building this set together and it is fun to see all the car pieces that make the car come to life. The mix of bricks is great too, and they bring out the realness of the car. There are over 20 bags of bricks but the book does a great job with instructions.

Great value for the money. Danish company finally has a formidable competitor. Now about this model. Pros: Great model, beautiful design and these metal parts and custom molds are exactly what this model needs. Con's: I have purchased two of these with the intention of building both versions of this car. Both of which had variations of brick color. It's like 50 shades of blue. A lot of bricks had some black goopy smudges on them. Come on Mattel you need slightly better quality control. Sticker quality is also not the greatest. Luckily stickers are pretty much optional. Because of color inconsistency and goop I can not give this model model more than 4 stars. Let's backtrack to pros. It was nice to see the windshield and rear window wrapped in protective tissue.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with the level of detail on the Mega Hot Wheels Mercedes-Benz 300 SL such as the metal wheels, the luggage in the back, the shifter, the seat inserts even have the quilted pattern. The instructions have been very straigtfoward and easy to follow. It comes with a little diecast model as well, which is awesome. I also like that it comes with a second set of wheels and decals so you can modify the build to look like it's racing counterpart. Overall, very satisfied.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a very fun project to build. it reminded me a lot of Lego building. The amount of detail was very nice, especially at this price point. I would have like to see a stand this could have been mounted on after you build it. I think the steps could have been consolidated to reduce build time and fatigue. I did like how the model has rubber bands to help show the different aspects of the model. The quality of the bricks seemed to be on par with Lego.

blocks are not lego quality but are somewhat ok. you need a hobby hammer to build some of this model as some of the fitting of the blocks are hard to fit right and don't want to stay in place easy. would not recommend to the new or very young builder. you will need some experience to build somewhat good. this is a honest review not one promoted by mattel

It took me about three days working on and off, and every step was so enjoyable. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow, which made the whole process really smooth. What stood out the most was all the fine details that brought the car to life. It looks so realistic once it’s finished! I also loved that it came with options to customize the build, like adding a roll cage, racing seat, and choosing from various stickers to create a cool, decal-style look. The best part? It even came with a Hot Wheels 1/64 replica of the same car I built! Overall, this set is an absolute must-have for any car lover or Hot Wheels fan. It was such a satisfying build and looks amazing on display!
